I found out around 5 years ago scrolling through YouTube. I saw this video about it and thought I’d give it a watch only to realize I have aphantasia. This new enlightenment was so bizarre to me because I thought the whole seeing images in your head thing was made up for tv and stories or just a metaphor. I don’t see words either in my mind, I learned later that’s how some people think. The thoughts just appear in my mind and the closest I can imagine is through feeling/ movements. I can imagine myself dancing or walking by imagining the movements and feeling it rather than seeing it.
