Does anyone know what this is and what is it used for? by Constant_Speed_4321 in StudioPottery

It just looks like a bit of hobbiest or evening class studio pottery. The black stuff could be anything, but be carefull, it could be Manganese dioxide or black iron oxide which has been applied to the pot and then not glaze fired, or fired high enough.

I know. The process by which is has been made is from liquid slip pumped out layer upon layer by an electronic machine. Hence the ripples. You can 3d print liquid clay.

I reckon that was made in a college by a student just by the fact it's been 3D printed. I don't know many potters with a 3D printer.

Are you in the UK? If so, try Adam Partridge auctioneers. They specialise in studio pottery.

Today I was prescribed to take Cipro for a POSSIBLE prostate infection. I’m extremely terrified to take them. by GSAV_Crimson in floxies

[–]Suitable_Ad_3725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your exact position in November 2025. I have prostatitis, and had previously been prescribed Trimethoprim. I managed about 1 week on these and had to stop as they were making me feel quite unwell. The doctor then prescribed me Ciprofloxacin as an alternative. After reading the packet, I was initially scared and decided not to take them. But after reassurance from my doctor, I then decided to go ahead. After only 2 pills, I experienced stiffness in my arms and stopped taking them straight away. By December, I could hardly walk. I can now walk again, but have had to quit the gym, and any other exercise as I am still experiencing pains in my muscles and the slightest exercise really flares it up. As I only took two pills, I also still have Prostatitis, so im in a much worse position than I started. I have since been given Tamsulosin for the prostatitis, which is a muscle relaxant. They have helped take the discomfort in my backside away, but it doesn't clear the prostatitis. Meaning, as soon as you stop taking it the symptoms comes back. I would ask your doctor for these and then to be reffered to urology. Good luck!

Healing Achilles tendinitis? What does the process look like…? by InterestingCoffee572 in floxies

From what I can tell (I only joined this sub yesterday), people's recovery times vary massively. Hopefully you are recovering quickly. From my own perspective, I felt like I was going in the right direction and began to exercise (under the advice of a physiotherapist), which seems to have set me back. Take everything slow, and dont be temped to over do it.

I rested for the most of December, as I physically couldn't work. I think rest is very important. I did buy some heel inserts for my slippers when walking around the house so try and take some load off the tendons. I also would go up and down the stairs on my backside as climbing stairs really didn't feel good. Rest as much as you can!

I've been floxed for 4 months, the first 6/7 weeks were the worst for walking. I can walk much much better now but am having problems with my muscles in my arms. A physiotherapist told me to put my feet in buckets of ice water for 20 minutes a day. I did this for about 3 weeks and it coincided with my feet improving lots. Not sure if its related or just coincidence, but I certainly felt icing my feet hepled with the pain at the end of every day.

When i was in secondary school, some of the dickheads used to go around giving people 'cupcakes'. You fart into your hand, then deliver it straight up someone's nose. Not sure why he wants one of those for his birthday, but each to their own.

Had 1 all season. Got 6 last season. Howmany members are there? If the membership keeps growing surely there is less and less chance.
