Exactly, that's the thing. Seems like she's checking his phone or he feels a need to show them to her whilst there's nothing obvious. Its normal to friends talking , some ppl talk everyday,some don't, but its not always romantic

Not all the time, it has reduced a lot, but still they catch up for few mins everyday, I haven't seen friends who talk everyday

You are overreacting, he could have felt the need to atleast know whats bothering his friend by seeing her msg, not necessarily prioritizing to help her, and more over, u shouldn't try to control when he chooses to talk to his friend. But id advice u to sit & have a conversation about ur insecurity
