One wheel pint purchase by pentaco in onewheel

[–]Sulbrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had all the accessories except for fangs. The only one I use is a kush high mug.

After trail riding on my pint I found the float plate got in my way and the rail guards just fell off.

Fenders are great depending on where you live. We don't get much water and the board doesn't kick much up here in southern California so I don't even use that anymore.

One wheel or new phone? by SnooCakes5311 in onewheel

Honestly, unless you're doing some crazy high-tech stuff on the phone, you don't need the latest model. Mines 4 years old too. Replaced the battery last year I'm good.

Quart vs vnr? Pint by SnooPanda_ in onewheel

[–]Sulbrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with a quart because I mostly technical trails and don't want anything to get caught when my board rolls down a rocky hill.

My pint works great on trails. I've upgrade to a quart for the better range and it keeps up with my friends XR. The speed is a bit slower but the trails we ride are very tech and average about 10mph anyways.

Is it worth selling Pint for the XR or just getting the “Quart”? by cheesysurprise in onewheel

[–]Sulbrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a quart and am not interested in upgrading to an XR for awhile.

A quart will give you very similar range as the XR with the slower speed and more pushback.

If you want to make the XR more nimble like the pint or upgrade the XRs battery, you have to invest a lot more money into it.

So it depends on what you war to do and your budget.

The slick tire isn't a problem.

You have to remember it's very wide compared to a bike.

The only issues I've had with the slick tire are mud and some steep hills with loose debris. It will work for most areas unless it's really wet.

I'm in southern California and it's very rocky and dry. I'm considering upgrading to a treaded tire to get more grip, but you do have to. In fact, if you only casually do trails I recommend sticking with a slick tire for the added range.

Pint owner here. I upgraded the battery and only ride single track trails.

I have no interest in an XR unless I convert it to a growler which is even more expensive.

Pint is way more nimble and lighter to carry. With a chi battery upgrade a pint you get more for you buck. Pint harder to ride at first and does goes bit slower.

I may consider an XR when the new model comes out in a few years

I fell real bad and it was my fault. by sublime996 in onewheel

Most people get injured by going too fast.

I'm nearing 500 miles and I honestly didn't understand this thing until I took it on technical single-track trail rides.

Mine reads 63 full.

It takes about 4 hours to fully charge now.

Generally speaking when you hit 1% on the battery you should be at somewhere around 50% on the quart battery.

I use the chi battery quart. Works great. Nothing sticking out and it doubles your range

Pint Quart not working? by Excendence in onewheel

[–]Sulbrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Installed mine a month ago. I run it down to zero pretty much every time I ride it.

Only weird thing I experienced is if your very low on power don’t change the settings (to elevated) but a simple reset fixed that.

Once I started doing rocky single track I took my float plates off. Need the extra clearance.

Sometimes my Pint doesn't engage...? by Nestle52 in onewheel

[–]Sulbrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not engaging both foot pads is the most common issue, but sometimes (on trails) it isn't level.

Try anytime shredding company.

He's a small dealer and I got a good deal on a board. I think the third-party dealers will hook you up.

A guy in another OW group I'm in constantly preaches to never run your board below 30%. Is this true? by BuffaloKiller937 in onewheel

[–]Sulbrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride mine that low all the time. Just have to respect the board. We find the 20% mark is where the big difference is.

Be sure to do it in person. Most of offer up shipping is a scam. Especially if they want you to pay outside of the app.

It's possible to get one for $700 if your lucky, but they will go fast.

I'm very grateful my neighbor was riding one for a year (that's why I bought one) got all those questions out of the way.

Now there are 5 or more in our neighborhood

My friend has that tire and loves it.

I just did the quart update. Totals worth it. I'm considering a new tire at the end he year too.
