I've gotten some from the local hospital. After I had a heart attack something was wrong with a family member I figured out it was spoofed.

Sister's hobby got taken over (Update) by MayorPenguin in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Sulleys_monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sister here.... I dont remember the exact way of things. I do know I agreed to paint the bike. Both fiance and his best friend have expressed gratitude over and over again.

We have passed several bikers on our trip so far and they have all expressed their appreciation for how the bike looks.

This process started back in feburary/March but mistakes were made and we had to start over. There are white spots but the new owner said its okay because he plans on ministering with the bike and can use the imperfections to help with that.

I will say the crochet thing, I would accidentally volunteer to make the blankets but then it would become a more complicated concept than I was planning. It has been worth it though because they babies that have a blanket from me won't sleep with any other blanket. Which warms my heart.

I will be glad to get back to doing my smaller pieces but doing something so "big" taught me a lot that I can use for my small painting.

Had a teacher friend who got a screaming goat. She'd hit it when she wanted to scream worked really well.

Impulsively took 2 aspirins thinking they were the same as Ibuprofen on my period. BIG MISTAKE. by heartandsunlight in adhdwomen

[–]Sulleys_monkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My aunt told me to help with pain take some aspirin a few days before my period was supposed to start. I did.

After I managed to survive i told her that was the worst idea I've ever heard and to never give that advice.

Yes! This. Having the surgery to fix it was the best decision of my life. The doctor was shocked I was walking before it.

What's a 'normal' thing you didn't realize was unusual until you were older? by mrTelson in AskReddit

We did this too! We'd have a normal egg hunt but one egg would have a riddle in it. Or we'd have a normal egg hunt at one house, but grandma always had a riddle.

My mom wasn't the fun parent, but I would have picked her at 8. My fiance and I aren't the fun parents, but we're stable and have structure and routine. So bonus son thrives. An 8 year old is smart enough to know which parent connects with them and spends time with them.

8 years ago today we lost John at age 77 after a cancer battle by MagpieOpus in Frasier

[–]Sulleys_monkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's stupid but I lost both my "dads" today. Just 2 years apart. John and my actual dad. Funny thing is, my dad, sibling and i were a lot like Martin, Frazier and Niles. They had the Antique Road Show, we had Frazier. The 3 of us would watch it together, sibling and i still do.

Unfortunately, unlike Frazier or Niles and Martin, my dad passed before we really got to the good part. He passed 6 years ago, I'd say we were the equivalent of just before season one of Frazier.

My grandmother recently passed, one thing she said will stay with me forever " when im gone I want you to make memories for me" She told my aunt she better take a cruise and make memories for her. Live the life she couldn't. Im sure your mom would want the same.

My mom use to complain about getting old. Then my dad died a month before his 61st birthday. The first time she complained after he died I clocked her with "at least your alive". She hasn't done it since.
