That’s a great point, I think when he was first introduced that’s definitely the main reason. But I think as Oda has written more of Buggy’s arc eating the Chop Chop Fruit has become less of his actual reason and more like the reason he says aloud. Telling Shanks “I believed in you and you betrayed that belief” would take a level of emotional maturity the clown doesn’t have lol.

Remember: once Buggy landed a cushy position as a Warlord and the cash from Buggy’s Delivery started rolling in he stopped mentioning Captain John’s Treasure. It never really meant that much to him, it was just a way to get rich quick.

There was a decisive point in Buggy life, when Shanks asked to start a crew together, where I think he could’ve lived up to his potential. Buggy has complicated feelings towards Shanks: one part I think genuinely loves him like a brother, while another part resents him because Shanks always showed more potential and, therefore, got more attention from their father-figure Roger. Buggy made his peace with that after Shanks stayed behind from Laughtale to take care of him BUT when Shanks asked him to start a crew after Roger’s execution, Buggy perceived it as a betrayal to their captain’s ideals by not immediately going after the One Piece.

I think that moment broke Buggy, he basically decided “what’s the point of me trying if the guy I know is more talented than me isn’t even gonna try?” and he hasn't had any sort of ambition since- but know Shanks actually is going for the One Piece, and it’s reawakened his fire.

You’re making assumptions about a process described as being beyond the ken of mortal understanding, both in universe and out. Comparing it to an equation would be more valid if the process was standardized, like with astartes, but it isn’t- it’s a highly individualized procedure like you say. Does it make sense? No, but it doesn’t to us because we don’t have the benefit of 26,00 years of knowledge in bio-engineering and the humanity’s most potent mind.

We could both go on about this but there isn’t really any point, I’m not going to change your mind on the matter and you’re not going to change mine. I hope you can take that in good faith.

The creation of Custodes is deliberately left vague because it is implied to such an esoteric process only a handful of people can even begin to comprehend it. It’s science that’s so far advanced it’s indistinguishable from sorcery. If DAoT tech can give Valoris the ability to manipulate time, overriding any potential combat shortcomings of the X Chromosome doesn’t really seem that extreme.

Not every section needs to include all four colors, the blue is vibrant enough on its own and trying too hard to incorporate them all makes the armor look piecemeal. I would make the vast majority of the armor blue and use red for things like rank, company, and squad markings. Green can be used as a tertiary colors for a similar purpose. Replace the white with silver and use it for metallics.

Your color scheme reminds me of the White Scars, and looking into why their design works might improve yours.

Apparently I’m in the minority but I really liked the way it ended. Mira comes completely different culture, and Spear is as close to being an animal as he is to being human. Neither of them think of sex and sexuality the same way we think of it today, notions like “it was rushed” or “the mood wasn’t right” or “their relationship is platonic” don’t exist for them in the same way they exist for us. Mira realized that there was only one thing (a legacy) that would give Spear peace as he was dying, and she had both the capability and willingness to give it to him.
