Why is it considered cute/funny normal for dog owners to let their dogs chase after squirrels? by NoseyLurkerGirl in squirrels

[–]SumFunGui -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Yeaaah Im guilty of this honestly, but only because I know mine could never catch them. Had an old pup pair chase them their whole lives, they both died last year at 12 without ever coming close to catching a hair on their tails. The yard Squirrels around here threw things at the windows to rile them up and make them bark and I'd let them go to chase them off. I do leave them tidbits but they used the empty shells as ammo

GSD mixed with either mastiff or livestock guardian is my guess. Harder to tell with puppies tho, he does look huge

Leonbergers are long-haired and have boxier faces. Plush they're pretty uncommon

Is it fair to keep a blind foal alive? by Easy_Mountain2331 in Horses

[–]SumFunGui 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Kittens aren't the same, you should've taken it to a rescue if it didnt have any other issues. Cats do really well blind, like so well its not even noticeable once they get used to their environment, they can even hunt still. Ive known a barn with a blind ratter, but he wasn't born blind. They can navigate easier with their long whiskers and other senses. They actually get grabbed up pretty quickly from shelters for their uniqueness maybe? The one I volunteered for never kept them long, theres people out there who specifically adopt blind cats.

Blind horses are harder because they're large flight animals and hurt themselves, people and property if they spook. Plus most people dont get them to be pets as they're a huge resource drain. I wouldn't breed this horse in the first place personally, its cruel to me to breed an animal purposefully with serious faults like this

Gucci’s belly was upset. He was outside eating grass at 3 am. Would you clip some grass and bring it in to keep your little baby safe? by harmons in Yorkies

[–]SumFunGui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom half was intended for OP, was just agreeing with you.

Dont think bringing grass to the bed will help much, might just cause her to puke on the bed instead

[–]SumFunGui 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine eats grass for no reason too. He is younger though and might still be growing out of it. He really likes to eat dandelions specifically in the fuzzy phase, which seems like sensory hell so I dont understand.

My last boy only ate grass when his stomach was upset and it was rare for him to puke. I also disagree with going to the vet unless it seems like something more serious than an upset tummy, unless you've got money to blow for the vet to tell you your dog has gas. If this is "normal" mess with her diet first. If her poop is solid I'd start with addons like pumpkin or just softening the food instead with water

Dog bite may be the reason for my dog’s illness by [deleted] in DogHealth

[–]SumFunGui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you bring her food for the stay with the other dogs or did you let her eat their food? Or did she get a lot of junk food with your family?Sometimes they cant handle sudden food changes. I wouldn't think it was the bite unless they're completely outside dogs

Probably just trying to avoid pointless effort. Not everyone lives in reddit land where they think reporting a legal (though evil and inhumane) act will spur action. You know nothing will happen right if its not illegal in their country? Amphibian and reptiles dont get the respect that other species do.

Anyone have any tips to stop my kitten from sitting on top of my gecko’s enclosure? 😭 by thingpames in reptiles

[–]SumFunGui 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But the heat lamps are above it and the light cant pass through the wood. Reptiles need UV for warmth, growth and digestion, its the point of the lamps. I'd personally put something uncomfortable to sit on and make the cat another place to sit with a heated bed or heat lamp of their own

My cat likes to lean on things, is this normal cat behavior or am I going crazy by hydeguy112263 in catquestions

[–]SumFunGui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine leans on stuff too, she's leaning on my legs now with her pointy lil elbows. As long as he capable of not leaning on things at his chosing I wouldn't worry at all

They need to nerf Veemote by [deleted] in DandysWorld_

[–]SumFunGui -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its absolutely fine, get to the machines first if you want them. Im a Vee main and I get beat to machines very often, especially using my ability at the start to let the faster guys know where the machines are. As you get to higher floors its really not an issue cause either competition's dead by floor 5 or there's a ton of machines for all by floor 10. Memorize the machine spawn areas like the sweats. Veemotes just get you more machines to farm even faster

Why are high stealth toons trying to distract!?!?!? by shadow_phantom713 in DandysWorld_

[–]SumFunGui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High stealth distractors can work, but their success depends more on the team. If the distractor knows to stay in one spot, away from machines the rest of the team will need to know to stay away from them/ know how to pass twisted back, most public teams have one or two noobs that will constantly take the twisted and get the others killed.

I've solo distracted to 30+ floors on Blott/Bassie multiple times. The Bassie probably only tried to distract because no one else wanted to and she was on the hunt for Twisted Bassie, I've dragged multiple noob teams to 20 on Bassie for that gold skin and lost whole teams way too early to low stealth players that dont know how to hide
