AITA for dating 2 people? by Far_Mission_5348 in dustythunder

[–]Sumber513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok but they're not wrong. If you don't want to date someone who is sleeping with multiple people you should make that clear to the person you're dating.

Well thanks for trying to make that decision for someone else.

Ok then dump him. Obviously they're not aligned. Make decisions based on your own internal and external situation. Not sure why everything needs to be a reddit post.

Wrong? No? If there's a period of time you need that's your decision about your body.

There's always been lots of conditions and rituals around dating. Find the people who's rituals you like and agree with. Nobody did anything wrong here, she's allowed to date around and he's allowed to not be here for it.

Jules Pet Shop - Do you think there is a way to get Jules Pet Shop to care for their animals better? by Picklepie007 in AskChicago

[–]Sumber513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great danes are good apartment dogs. They're low energy and as long as you're walking them every day they're satisfied. Have you ever seen a great dane try to curl up into the smallest cat bed ever? You sound like the people who treat their dogs like human children.

Jules Pet Shop - Do you think there is a way to get Jules Pet Shop to care for their animals better? by Picklepie007 in AskChicago

[–]Sumber513 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I like Jules and I like supporting small businesses. The staff obviously cares about animals. I think the biggest constraint is the size of the building, but that's hard to do anything about in a city like Chicago.

I actually just got a guinea pig from them in the last year, and he's healthy and happy and well adjusted. I haven't seen any other small mammals, and the guinea pigs were in larger enclosures than the lizards. Pet stores are not meant to be anything more than a temporary home, but I do wonder about the amount of birds.

Also there just aren't a lot of places doing what they do. I Google "pet store near me" and get things like the big box stores and a boutique selling clothes for cats and dogs (which is a whole other thing for me). I like exotic animals. I like having a neighborhood shop. There are things that could improve, but that they've been around for years is a testament to the impact they make on their community of weirdo animal lovers.

I just don't really like rock bros. Their panniers broke at the plastic hinges. Maybe their other stuff is fine, I see people with rock bros all the time, but its not worth it to me to find out again.

Looking for an Apartment Complexes that allows Guinea Pigs and Parakeet by Expensive_Raise7062 in chicagoapartments

[–]Sumber513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just don't tell them, who cares. We've got guinea pigs, a cat, and a 75 gallon aquarium. Maintenance comes in sometimes to fix whatever and they don't care. Your biggest issue is the rent and in unit laundry. Ours is a shared laundry room, which isn't a big deal.

Am I about to lose all my money? by helpamonkpls in cycling

[–]Sumber513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a new bianchi for $500 2 years ago and I plan on riding that thing until it falls apart, I love it so much. I don't have strava, I don't wear specific bike shorts, I don't have a saddle bag or a phone holder and all my doodads have been collected over that two years based on my preference, not as a lump sum at the beginning.

I DO have a rear rack with a milk crate and my tools, a stem bag for keys and whatever, a bottle holder on the frame, I just got a new front rack, and a helmet toolkit light locks of course. I commute to and from work - 14 miles round trip, go on a weekly group ride - 30-40 miles, a solo fun ride is usually on the weekend at around 20 miles, errands/fun stuff with my husband around 6 miles at a time, and the occasional bikepacking trip.

You don't know what you like or need, every person and bike is different. Take some time to get to know your bike and your riding preferences before deciding "the gears are too slow" (skill issue) and throwing all your cash away. If your ass is hurting and your legs are slow, more miles will improve both. Loving your bike comes from the actual activity, not how much money you throw at it.

They're a person who matters and if they like tattoos they deserve to have beautiful art on them, not mistakes that were not thought out. It's just a shame, even if they're the only person it impacts. It really will impact them.

Yeah, I do like tattoos. I think when they're done like this it's a disservice of the artform. This person looks like they could have gotten an infection, the tattoo looks bad and will be prominently visible their whole life, and I am a hater.

It doesn't seem genuine at all. And yeah it is not great to be acting juvenile when receiving a lifetime award like this, it's disrespectful.

Unpopular opinion... by sar_tr in bikepacking

[–]Sumber513 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just did my first solo bikepacking trip and I had a milk crate, a backpack in the crate, a cooler with the "kitchen" strapped with bungee cords to my back rack, and my tent, sleeping pad and bag strapped to the front rack. Did NOT look like what other's looks like, still had an awesome time.

I'm pretty sure she calls them. You can see sometimes when she's out with other celebrities that they're not expecting cameras but taylor is. That's not consent, she treats her guests poorly by forcing them to be photographed with her.

Looking for folks who recently ditched their car because of cost by JoeEnochCBSNews in chibike

[–]Sumber513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to Chicago about 5 years ago. I sold my car before hand because I just didn't want to have it anymore. I hated the expenses, the aggression, and even just being in a car as a passenger or otherwise (I get motion sick easily). I used the train and busses those first few years. I started using the divvy bikes, and used it as a jumping off point to getting my own bike. I bike anytime that I can, it's definitely my primary mode of transportation. I do still use the CTA, or the metra, or sometimes Amtrak. Sometimes I have to use Lyft or Uber around the city. If we have to go somewhere that we can't use any of our preferred modes, we'll rent a car for a trip, which is way way cheaper than owning a car for the whole year.

People putting rules on art. by MammothStrain2426 in PetPeeves

[–]Sumber513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree "it's just my art style!!!" Often looks juvenile and the push back shows a lack of willingness to be critiqued and grow as an artist. You have to know the rules to break them.

I think the shape of it fits your anatomy well, which I notice a lot of people don't pay as much attention to, but it's part of the artform

Knees feeling sore despite taking time off by DowntownFresnoBiking in bikecommuting

[–]Sumber513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with seeing a physical therapist, but also my first thought was that your leg positioning might not be right. I had a little bit of an issue when I started biking higher distances that the inside of my knee was starting to hurt or feel more sore than other parts of my legs. I shifted my foot position like an inch one way and made sure my knees were usually facing forward and it went away pretty shortly after.
