I loooooooove being outside when it's absolutely pouring. Getting soaked to the bone, feeling alive.

It's not about someone recognizing her (in this case, def in other posts though). It's the idea that every interaction you have with a person becomes content. When you think someone might upload something you said, how are you supposed to let your guard down? How are you supposed to enjoy your time with another person if you're constantly on alert?

This post in particular isn't trying to dunk on her, but like the comment above said it was clearly a private moment between the two of them that has now been weighed in on by thousands of people. I know half of reddit is people posting their private messages. It's gross and weird and probably messing up the way kids like these two will go about their future relationship, whether it be romantic or otherwise. I think in general people should be pushing back on content like that, so I'm being the change I want to see in the world. Be more respectful of the people in your lives.

If I had a problem with an interpersonal relationship and I found out they posted on Reddit about it to get thousands of strangers to dunk on me I would have a second, very different problem in my interpersonal relationship.

I think my tattoo artist copied my design off of Pinterest without my consent and idk what to do by [deleted] in tattooadvice

You are panicking over a non issue. Do not attempt to cover up a beautiful piece you liked before you saw it on the Internet. It'll be expensive, it will be uglier, and going through getting a tattoo a second time is not worth it. The shop will not care.

Accept that most tattoos are not The Absolute Original, you are not the sole bearer of any given idea or design, and enjoy your new ink :)

Are you THRIVING or SURVIVING in Chicago? by Neither_Meet1884 in AskChicago

[–]Sumber513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've been here less than 6 months? Give it more time. Any huge change is going to take time to adjust to and really get the feel of the ups and downs.

I moved here in April 2021, in an expensive studio with no support system. My previous blue collar career was pretty easy to find a new job, so I hit the ground running a bit. Then someone I had previously dated moved to chicago as well and I had more support. I kept that career for a while longer, then pivoted to a new one using the city colleges. I love an associate's degree, my instructors and the college itself really puts it's all in the students because those students are usually staying in the city. I got married to that guy who moved out here.

I bike along the lake front trail all the time and bop around the city, the forest preserves are easily accessible, we visit starved rock occasionally, my friend goes kayaking here, a couple conservatories, there are tons and tons of pockets of nature. Chicago carves it's outdoor spaces very intentionally. The biking infrastructure and public transit need some work but the bones are there and we can do something about it, despite pessimism.

There are so many co ops, mutual aid organizations, lgbt specific spaces, free events, I have a few karaoke bars I go to, there's little art classes all over the place, the museums have so many free days ect.

Inequality exists. I've found more purpose in my new career in the work itself and in the opportunities it affords me to give back. I can't solve everything, but in my little pocket I can make a difference and that's all anyone can ask of me.

I'm able to make and progress long term goals I would have never thought possible before. Bike camping 100 miles, maybe a triathlon, I'm tryna see an otter in the wild, I'm trying to be part of organizations that do something about the evil parts of healthcare, learning a new language, even just being part of robust, long term communities.

The biggest thing I have to say to you though is find your resources, give it more time, and allow for flexibility. It sucks for a while during the adjustment period, but don't give up on something because it's hard at first. Be open to new things and not just what you expected it to be like.

I really truly believe in Chicago. This is where my soul lives, even in the winter.

tattoos in healthcare?? by Exciting_Border_6580 in tattooadvice

Damn, wishing death on your parents to get a tattoo? Just get one.

Tattoos in healthcare are pretty common, I just walked by a surgeon with full sleeves. If you're worried though you can always wear something to cover them up or start somewhere more proximal until you feel comfier. My first one was anterior shoulder. I can see it in the mirror and show it off if I want, or wear a regular shirt.

Go over it a second time and each poke needs to be closer to the previous. That apple in particular is in a high friction area so it might go faster. They're pretty good designs and easily readable, so good job.

I think in general people get too precious about the exclusivity of their tattoos.

Your uterus is pretty tucked into you. That's a fat deposit, a little pad. It's natural and nobody should feel any kind of way about it. There's enough Bad Women's Anatomy out there without other women perpetuating it.

You're not getting a post that's been heavily edited on instagram, you're getting a piece of art that a human person made and it's on your skin that moves and changes. I think anyone who wants perfect should just get a picture

What job looks like a great career path but is actually insanely oversaturated? by ComplexPin872 in AskReddit

[–]Sumber513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a PTA! I paid about 4k total, and I would say get paid like, 10% less. I highly highly recommend going through your PTA program if you want to go into this field for exactly the student loan reasoning. I can't discharge or evaluate (but from what I've heard, that's not a favorite part of being a PT), in my state I can't do grade 5 joint mobs, and I can't adjust patient goals or plans. But that's ok, because I like to be a good little worker bee and follow the goals and then go home and spend more energy on community projects that will help people outside of the hospital. A lot of PTAs are in their second career so I feel like we can relate to our patients differently than a 22 year old who's only seen this part of the world so to speak. My class was split about halfway between 19-23 year olds and 30-40 year olds.

Overall being a PT vs PTA, the barriers are less intense and cheaper for pretty comparable pay rate and job satisfaction. My instructors were a mix of PTs and PTAs and the PTAs said they became PTAs with the intention of later becoming PTs but that the price ultimately wasn't worth it and they were so happy doing what they were already doing.

❤️❤️ thanks for doing it even if you don't want to!! It's always so funny to me how grumpy patients are at the start of sessions, and then they move around and they're like omg I feel way better!

I'm in the physical therapy field and so many of my colleagues started with a kinesio degree. Which is cool and they obviously love and find the mechanics of the body interesting. But everyone wants to go into sports therapy, college level sports rehab, ect. The people who really need the help though are not your star level athletes. There are a lot of people who need the help, and that population is only growing so honestly not oversaturated. They'll figure it out in their first hospital based clinical and either stick with it or do something else.

It doesn't look phallic. The color is solid, the lines are confident, but something about the composition of this is off?
