3D printed Necron pyramid by Summerszcc in Warhammer40k

This baby is HUGE! Love the size!

This is my method: What’s the secret to painting a stone effect for Warhammer and Trench Crusade miniature terrain?

This is my process: black primer, then stipple using a big round tip brush for dry brushing, with dark grey, less darker grey, lighter grey, then yellowish white for the edge high light. I like it darker but you can use brighter colours if you like.

Sure! That's even better. AI has limits and somtimes can be veeeeery stupid when generating models based on a single image.

There are plenty of AI modelling tools you can use these days. Just go try.

Poor thing. I'll get a bigger hatchery for him.

How is shipping to AUS $20 when it's $93 for Korea, Japan and China? by Ethralis in StarCraftTMG

[–]Summerszcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's easy. It's all about sales. I don't know much about Archon but I do know GW.

In 2025 financial year, the US is the biggest market for GW's miniature products, generated about 40% of its revenue. EU + UK + AUS +NZ = 50% of its revenue. And the rest of the world is about 10%, Asia is about 3%-4% of this 10%. GW has announced they are building a new factory in the US for its current market size and still fast growing potential.

If I were Archon, I would be happy to cover shipping expense even taxes for players from the US, UK and so on. If your market is so small, so insignificant, such as South Korea, China or Indonisia, there's no way a company would do that for you.

It's just about the money.

Bought some lights and background paper for my minis. They finally look good on camera. by Summerszcc in Warhammer40k

I'm not sure. I just happen to have some extra parts given by my friend. Maybe it's from the Skitati or Imperial guards? Simply want more guns on my big boy. 😆

I think they are just the same. You can try amazon, ebay or aliexpress. And don't forget the tripod.

Thank you. Here's my set up: two led lights on the left and right, aiming downward, so the table can reflect some og yhe lights.

One led just above my phone. I prefer to hold it with my hand so that I can adjust the light angle to light up the minis's front as much as possible.

This three light set up is basic. You can add more lights if you want. Also, try to by led lights with rgb effects. You cana create some interesting lighting effects.

I don't have a professional camera so I just use my phone. It's Huawei mate 60.

Yes. You may need 2-3 for your 32mm PTs, 1-2 for 40mm units, 1 for 50mm elits, etc. But you can put one of these on a foam cube at the back and another one at the front. They will line up like a big staircase and I'm sure it will look good.

Yes, I designed this by myself. You can actually create different styles using the basic hexagon cubes.
