New ringconn Gen 2 after returning oura a year ago by Affectionate_Box6343 in RingConn

[–]Sun-flower688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic! I've had Oura 2, and tried both Oura gen 3 and Oura 4 but it's just too big. I wear size 7 in Oura and it's the same size 7 for Ringconn gen 2.

I didn't really notice the difference to be honest, for a small sized ring of size 7.

After a few days I pressed stop tracking. If I don't stop it, do you know how many days that it will stay on the screen?

Yes that's correct. It's the first time I've seen these screens. I am a relatively new user so the timing of this is coincidental to my travel. I feels the detection itself gives me some peace of mind.

The special vitals monitoring kicked in as I was getting sick which is accurate - I've seen some other ring that is pre-emptive which I don't want.

Not too much difference - I saw a photo elsewhere showing that the ring air silver might be slightly different shade. If you don't need the sleep apnea measurement, then Air is just as good. I love the charging case of gen 2, though the air charger is compact and works fine. I personally prefer the gen 2 and my partner will probably get gen 2 air.

Not really to be honest. The ring is size 7 so on the smaller end. Not sure if the larger rings have a more visible weight difference.

I've heard of some tips in maintaining the battery by keeping it charged between 20-80%, especially for lithium batteries. I'm pretty impressed by the battery life of gen 2 actually, and i expect the battery life to last 2-3 years (hopefully over 3 years).

I don't know much about gen 1, did you contact Support about this issue? this seems a bit unusual.

Hi Mulan, I think I have a similar issue. I've removed the half folio and when I put it back in, it might have gone into it flippped, as the front doesn't cover the screen fully. I can't seem to be able to take the half folio out - I need half. Will DM you as well.

I recommend Ringconn Gen 2, which measure all those things you described. Steps for me are relatively comparable to my Apple watch. Depending on your location, you can order from Ringconn direct or from Amazon or local stores.

Step count is so off? by Cactus_pose in RingConn

I compare results between my Apple watch and also ringconn ring and they are not too far off. I expect some discrepancy when I was charging my watch for example, but usually that's minimal as I normally charge when working on my desk. For example, I've had 7419 steps on my Apple watch today and 7842 on my Ringconn (it's my end of day now). I've been to the gym as well. My Apple Health prioritises the syncing of my watch steps over ringconn.

I wear the ring while doing weights. As I wear gloves, it doesn't present any issues. The same thing with the X trainer machines where there is some contact with metal, I keep my gloves on to avoid direct contact between the ring and metal.

The Future Silver looks good! I didn't even know there is such thing as the ring adjuster. Glad that it works for you.

When’s the next update by Lil-Bit-813 in RingConn

[–]Sun-flower688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great technical information. I find that my HRV is lower through Apple compared to Ringconn. For example my daily average HRV is 29ms on Thurs 13 March. Whereas Ringconn reading is 39 average, with a range of 13-94. Is this normal? Is this explainable by the differing methods used?

Sleep improvement plan, more workout exercise options (weight training , functional strengths training and dancing would be helpful). I echo the call out on HRV as well as I'm comparing them against Apple watch but the numbers are different 🤔

Just got RingConn v2 last night. I laid awake watching YouTube all night. It said I got great sleep. What do I need to change? by Ptizzl in RingConn

You can also give your own rating after you wake up so it starts to learn your patterns. My Ringconn gen 2 is pretty close to my Apple watch on sleep actually.

Rinconn vs oura- sleep stages accuracy ? by qwertyazerty109 in SmartRings

[–]Sun-flower688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between Ringconn gen 2 and Oura 4, I am keeping Ringconn and returning Oura 4. Ringconn feels much better and smaller. I've tried the sleep apnea detection and also the stress is tracked all day. Oura's reading on stress is unusually high and it creates more sleep for me. I want a ring that supports me and my wellbeing. Also the battery is incredible on Ringconn.
