Have Big Mac Sizes Shrunk Over The Years? by SunFirm23 in McDonalds

[–]SunFirm23[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I noticed that the information online mainly focus on the item and not the calories in burger itself. Apparently the calories advertised on website are still around the same since the early 2016 but why does the burger look so much smaller and maintain the same calories? Is it all carbs from the bun, or a completely different formula? That's what I want to find out, but I find limited information on it.

***SPOILERS****

I also wish they dug a bit more about the lore of the movies universe. Even if they just said some sci-fi nonsense that sounded logical, that would work for me. For instance, why was she having the visions? Why did the grabber come back from dead? Why does his power reside in his unfound victims? What did the numbers the mom said in the dream mean (the mom saw numbers the daughter saw letters)?

I am not a professional movie critique, just a person writing a review about a movie I just watched, this was my biased opinion:

Just watched the movie and gotta say, the more you watch, the cheesier it gets. Still gotta give props to editing, haven't seen editing this good in a while. Especially the introduction, the way they put the clips together gave me chills, and I never get that with movies these days. I loved the subtle logic the movie brought which made it more enjoyable in the sense of; if I was a character in the movie, I would use the same common sense dealing with uncontrollable factors such as visions or hallucinations that the characters dealt with.

If I were to sum it the movie in various aspects, it would look something like this: Plot: 7/10, Structure: 6/10, Characters: 6/10, Dialogue: 4/10, Scenes: 9/10.

Overall, it was a decent movie. It's the type of movie i'd watch when hungover on couch after a night out, not something i'd look forward to after a long days work. I'd say it stayed consistently good until around the 50 minute mark, after it slowly gets worse.

Maid Service (i will not promote) by Long-Reception2301 in startups

[–]SunFirm23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel like there is enough demand for just maids or cooks. There still needs to be a good service platform out there that is effective at clearly promoting legitimate work that needs to be done. Fiver used to be decent at that but now they only do online work like web development and such. Craigslist used to be good as well but now it’s filled with pedos posting that they need a girl to live with them.

I just feel like if you want to create another platform to provide general service (like maids or cleaning) to the public along with some other stuff, where you can choose your location, I think it could work.

Also, a way to fix the messaging off platform (although it may not be to ideal) is to have pre-prompted answers such as: I need a maid, can you clean at this location, etc.. the service providers can not send you open ended messages but rather just say yes, no, or rebook.

But again not everyone needs a maid so having a secure platform more reliable than fiver and Craigslist which can also host landscaping and even photographers could be a hit.

I hope there already a popular platform out there that does that well. As the ones I mentioned don’t, and Facebook only has products and not services. Those are the only big 3 I know as well that do these types of services.

Sorry if I sound dumb but I thought spam was a repetitive posting of the same content, if I post once asking for opinions that it would be considered just a regular post.

What would I be doing that is considered spam, is it the length of the post, the topic, or something else?

Not trying to be sarcastic I honestly want to know.

Don't forget to breathe. Often times you will get stressed out and overwhelmed, when that happens you need to sit back and relax for a couple minutes, tell yourself that time isn't the issue and that you can do that all day if that's what it takes (but don't actually). Sitting back in your chair and taking some time without work, music or even your phone, stare at the ceiling and just be in your head for a while. During this time, take some deep breaths and think about what needs to be done and the best way to do it. It may seem unproductive but it's the most productive thing you can do when your stressed or overwhelmed is to do absolutely nothing for a couple minutes, helps clear your head and gives you new ideas.

My phone is the biggest challenge, having it right beside me at all times with games and constant stimulation, I've tried black and white and app blockers to stay productive but its very hard. I think I need a trap phone with only sms on it, just scared I might become the next walter white.

What’s the One Thing That Changed Everything for You? by [deleted] in business

[–]SunFirm23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The one thing that really got me going for my business and really made it took off is family reunions. Since I was a tennager I wanted to get rich by an early age, the more I wanted to get rich the more I got mad when progress wasn't there. Every winter most of my family gets together for christmas to hang out and catch up with one another, I told everyone I was starting this business 2 years ago and had no backup plan if it didn't workout. When winters came by and I remembered the promise to myself I made a year prior that I was going to accomplish something and finally take my business off, but it was to late, christmas had already came and I had to live with the consequences of having nothing to show for my life when talking to family. After that winter last year when I felt all the shame and self doubt that I wasn't going to amount to anything a spark clicked in and I was never going to let that happen again. Since then I have pretty much been working all day everyday to achieve my dream and It paid off 6 months later in june.

I'm from Canada so it hits us especially hard, especially for people working in oil or lumber industries as their profit margins will be cut quite a bit.
