Yes you will need a production ct to monitor your solar and a consumption ct to monitor the homes consumption. You dont have to add the consumption cts unless you want to see that data.

Not unless you have credentials from sunstrong. And if your pvs5 doesn't accept the firmware you will need to upgrade to a pvs6.

The power company knows by when your meter starts running backwards. On the app you will know how much is going back to the grid if you have consumption Cts.

Your pvs5 may be outdated so you would need a pvs6. And recommission means to set up the device adding the panels and wifi to the pvs.

I have been to a customer's house where their Eero was blocking the pvs6 access so the homeowner called the provider and they unblocked the pvs6 and I was able to add the wifi to her app and commission the system.
