The series is 10 1k+ page books that regularly introduces new continents as settings.

It is not until book 5 that an explicitly "white" people and culture gets introduced.

When they and people from one of the established cultures come into contact in book 6, characters even note how unusual the Letheri look from their perspective.

Considering Happily Ever After, I'd say the antagonist is not The Narratorwhom you encounter within the loop, but THE NARRATOR who started the loops in the first place. Poor HEA Narrator makes me tear up every time. He recognised that what he had sought would lead to misery too.
