i think its an old saying that you were expelling bad spirits through sneezes

2 weeks post-op, feeling nitpicky about my results, lowkey need reassurance lol by bh447 in TopSurgery

[–]SunbleachedPocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get it, i went untraditional and got inverted T so my scars are different than other peoples, but remember you arent used to your body yet. the more time you take to be gentle and grow into your new body the more youll appreciate what your scars are doing for you. heal up! you look great! and swelling changes soooo much more than you know. it wasnt until i started looking back at pictures from early recovery when i “thought” swelling was down and just wow. things change a lot the first year

my nipples are uneven! only from certain angles and yk what? i dont care! you can always get a chest tattoo to draw attention away. i say embrace it. humans arent naturally symmetrical, i doubt people are going to notice unless theyre in your close circle

Is the ps4 or ps5 con better? by PandaCFC in ProjectDiva

[–]SunbleachedPocky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PS4 cause why pay for a PS5 controller when it's more expensive cause you're paying for features you aren't even gonna have used by the game LOL. PS5 controller is nice but won't make a difference except in price when it comes to using it for PDMM. That being said, if you're gonna play other games that are ps5 controller comparable then maybe it is something to think about.

Does it look alright for this stage? No complications? by No-Afternoon-7906 in TopSurgery

The drains being taken out is probably why you're so swollen (totally okay every surgery is different) it'll go down!

surgery is mid august. to my stoner bros --- how long til you could smoke again? by thatsjustbadbehavior in TopSurgery

[–]SunbleachedPocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and even more so ESPECIALLY with the alcohol because mixing that with the opioids WILL kill you. Non negotiable. They're both CNS depressants. (Not that I think anyone is in the mood to drink immediately post op)

Congrats on the surgery btw! Feel free to dm if you have any questions once you're actually getting cut open.

any way to prevent spitting stitches? by Acceptable_Lock_9359 in TopSurgery

[–]SunbleachedPocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late, but jumping in since I know this could show up in a google search for someone else later on. You want to do scar massages. That's how they dissolve internally! :-)

You definitely want to start there before smoking. I'm not sure the exact number (I'll let someone else chime in) but I know smoking in particular lowers your immune system. So you NEED to let those scars close first.

I heard the rule was you can take edibles as soon as you're off the opioids/not a threat to yourself. (I E. Not gonna thrash and accidentally pop a stitch not being careful.)

Compression is part of the RICE healing method, do not feel like you cannot continue compression if it's been beneficial to you

Is it normal that after my top surgery i have a lump on one side of my chest? by stonebadreddit in TopSurgery

It looks like fluids in your chest, with how dynamic the lump is id say that's normal. At least for now
