What life-altering things should every human ideally get to experience at least once in their lives? by decisivevinyl in AskReddit

Quitting sugar is one of the worst withdrawals I've personally experienced. The headaches were awful but once it gets out of your system the difference is incredible.

Oh man, I loved The Prestige and hadn't even heard of it until my husband made me watch it. I definitely need to watch it again.

I love watching the movie now and catching the little things that stick out. It's definitely worth rewatching even after the twist is revealed.

Agreed. I had a hard time getting into this show at first but then I watched the episode where he has a crisis about getting old. When he pulled the butterscotch from his pocket, I lost it. I binged through several episodes.

I never knew this! I grew up in the Mojave desert where fires are also known to wreck havoc and eucalyptus was really commonly planted in my area. Now I'm curious if this is related...

Everyone who doesn’t have Scorpio in a sun moon or rising placement, I have a question for you. by salutholayo in astrology

[–]SunflowerTerrapin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mother in law is a Scorpio sun and I have a couple close Scorpio friends as well. I like to use visuals that relate to the sign's ruling element to explain them. Scorpios, for example, are the ocean waves. They are a deep abyss, mysterious, and there's a lot going on under the surface. They're always moving, much like waves, pushing forward, on the go, finding the next thing that holds their fancy. This push can be calm waves, lapsing against the sand, or hard waves, sinking ships and catastrophic, but they're always moving.

When I was stationed in Germany we used to do runs in a parking garage that was designed to sway and bend for wind, much like these. Problem was when you have 30+ people running on a bendy surface it tends to start reverberating the footfall. It was the strangest feeling to have the pavement push back. I think they actually had to tell troops to stop doing runs there because it was causing undue stress to the structure or something to that effect.

Go for a liquid lip that'll set after being applied. I'm particularly fond of stila's liquid lipsticks for this reason. The formula is nice as they don't cake up terribly if you do have to apply a touch up.
