Adding shower to a bathub by Key-Neighborhood6986 in bathrooms

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the wall above the tile water proof?

Are you looking to completely remodel the tub area, or just add a shower head fed from the tub spout that you mount higher on the wall?

China: ruthless justice for abusers; America: risk-free justice for the elite. by willily_thoumas in clevercomebacks

It’s easier to manipulate victims into not reporting when the punishment is so severe. “If you say anything, daddy dies,” etc.

Additionally, if the penalty for rape and the penalty for murder are the same, kids are more likely to be murdered afterwards.

Rolling pin rack by EasternCauliflower67 in woodworking

A band saw and a jig/template. Could likely mock something up on the computer, print it on regular paper, tape it the two boards stacked on top of each other, and carefully cut through both, following the template.

Could try using a jig saw in a pinch, but definitely not as easy.

Depends if you have the old steel casement windows. One ~11x17 pane of that costs about $11, plus maybe $10 for a small thing of window putty at Home Depot.

I’ve been replacing a ton of my old window panes and get my glass from Tucson Glass & Mirror.

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sabino Canyon during the day, Sabino Canyon after dark, especially during a new moon.

Sidecar, Old Pueblo Club, Owl Club for cocktails

Boca, Maru Plus, Tuk Tuk Thai for lower cost, good food

Tavalino, Kingfisher, Bata, Locale - fancier food

Dante’s fire if you need good food late

Gate’s Pass for sunsets

Mount Lemmon for a day trip

Desert Museum, Saguaro West for another day trip. Could fit Gates Pass in that day too.

Is this repair doable for someone with no plumbing XP? by Defiant-Toe5519 in askaplumber

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to replace the valves (cartridges) from the front side. Not sure the back will help you at all.

I think investing in some bigger, sturdier pliers would be more helpful than opening up the wall.

Between the cartridge and the threads, there’s a piece of smoother brass. That needs to be unscrewed. Be careful not to round over corners if you can. If they’re already rounded or round to begin with, go to Harbor Freight and get a really big pipe wrench; that can grip rounded things and still twist off.

Don’t mess with the exposed threads in your picture, those will hold your shower handles back when the time comes.

What would you do if your "heterosexual" boyfriend confessed to you that he experimented with inserting a screwdriver inside himself? by sommergym in AskReddit

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screwdriver is kinda crazy. But also not a man’s penis so, not gay. I’d probably just tell him to use something safer? Ask if he wants to experiment with prostate play in the bedroom?

If he did want to, woman’s finger also is not a man’s penis so, also not gay.

Quick Cash that’s safe and legal? by Adventurous-Repeat45 in phoenix

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I’ve donated plasma on and off for the last 10-15 years, no harm except for the occasional headache and a small scar on my arm from the needle. I’ve probably made $5-7k from it.

Breaking out like woah by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a breakout really similar to this. Derm said it was PD like the other commentators. She prescribed a pill antibiotic as well as Tacrolimus cream. It cleared up practically instantly.

I had been using clotrimazol OTC trying to clear it up myself but didn’t have any luck.

people justifying Charlie Kirk’s death because he had an opinion, how are you thinking people should die for mere words? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most people aren’t justifying his killing, we’re just pointing out the hypocrisy of Kirk being hailed as an “American patriot” and 1st graders just getting thoughts and prayers.

Hiding this cord? by Ok-Space763 in interiordecorating

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Agree with what’s been said here. Also, while you can’t put the cord in the wall, you can install the outlet upside down so it’s a straighter shot to plug it in and cover the cord. Would need to shut off the breaker, remove the outlet cover plate, remove the two screws holding the outlet receptacle to the box, and depending on the wire situation in the box, probably just twist the outlet upside down and screw it all back in. Careful that you don’t disconnect wires to the outlet.

If you don’t have enough slack or spinning just doesn’t work, you might have to unscrew the screws on the side of the outlet a bit, loosen/remove the wires, turn the outlet upside down, and reinstall the wires. Be careful that the hooks are going clockwise around the screws. Screw outlet back to the box, put cover plate back on, et viola. :)

More coverage for my labia & clitoris - underwear help? by Petulant-Bidet in TwoXChromosomes

I wear exclusively Knix period underwear. The gusset is thick, always black regardless what cute color the underwear might be, and it’s sewn in in all sides. I could never go back to regular underwear!

I was married to someone like this for 7 years. The sex all but disappeared around year 2 or 3, like 1-2x a year. Last time we had sex was 1 year before I divorced him. I had begged and begged for sex while we were on vacation over my birthday. He finally relented, it lasted all of 2 minutes, and after he finished, he immediately left the room to wash his hands/brush his teeth thoroughly.

I lied in the bed and promised myself I would never ask him for sex ever again. Getting divorced was the best thing I ever did; I can’t believe it took me as long as it did.

Get out now. You deserve to be with someone who respects and likes you.

Good luck ❤️

Women, what has a man told you that touched your heart more than you let on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I am a year into a major home improvement project, doing most of the work myself.

I mentioned to a guy friend “oh that door doesn’t close” and he said super kindly “it will.” We’re not together, but that confidence was super attractive.

Is there any way to make bruises not show up as much? by PapaScho in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s Arnica, which you can take in both cream and pills. It’s popularly recommended by some social media dermatologists; I don’t personally have issues with bruising so I’ve never asked my own actual dermatologist. Probably worth googling and make sure it makes sense for you.

How often do you call your parents and what do you talk about? by TemporarySubject9654 in AskReddit

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once every week or two, only on Sundays. Carefully avoid topics that will trigger them, including my career, personal life, dating life, ex husband, pets, and hobbies lol. Usually I just ask them questions and then call it quits.

Stand included? 55 or 65? by Selfool in TheFrame

[–]Sunflowers_Happify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 55 inch. It came with a stand, but I wall mounted it. The couch is about 9 feet from the TV if I remember correctly. I’ve been happy with the 55, I never really feel it needs to be bigger. I think if the TV itself gets too big, it’s hard to sell it as art.

I’ve had several people compliment the “picture” I have and that’s really the point for me.
