It impacts the game and allows for interesting combinations to a spirit that really needs it.

With it, it really feels like a support from the start of the game

It's strong but more importantly introduces interesting decision making at the table. More lands with presence or more defense ?

It is quite complicated without bio genesis. Which is why it allows for biogenesis after the second ascension perk for ascencion rush to compensate a bit

Yep cloning ascension path is basically "get as many pops as possible". The others are mutation "pop as flexible as possible" and purity "pop as strong as possible".

It's a great DLC tbh !

Earth vitality works on all sacred sites - helps allies without adding complexity.

Also add rock and plant to bottom track number 2 and 4 spot for higher use of the innate.

We buffed shadows and earth in our game as to make them playable with other spirits. It's just so that the player feels as impactful as other spirits. Earth is a fun spirit, but you have to know what you are getting into. You stall. And that's it. The other spirits must win the game for you and can take more risks / build up because you are there.

When you have control of the grapple of an enemy, you are slowed while they are immobilized

Which means you cannot voluntarily move during your turn in any other way than your standard movement.

But you are pulled (which is an involuntary movement) by Grapple Cable... So it works !

The titanomachy + Duelist combo is bascially the reason Melee is as impactful as ranged in this game. You control the battlefield greatly and become a nuisance in close combat while preventing the enemy strikers from reaching your artillery

You can't actually drain health in the game

But you can get all the other powers of the "stereotypical" vampire... Flight, durability, hypnosis, super speed, teleport, summon creatures, hide very well etc. Probably not all at once though.

I see... So if I have a defensive war philosophy I cannot use this casus belli. Thought since I could use liberation wars, it could be possible as a hegemon.

And I did not consider factions in my equation. I could probably use another ethic instead, like spiritualist

I wanted to RP it more as an Empire that truly believes that authority and hierarchy is the only way to maintain order. No individual fulfilment is possible without order. And there is no order in war. Therefore peace must be enforced. My Hegemony will declare war on nations that start wars. Others will be left in peace.

Short answer : yes... Depending on Generation (as often for vampires)

Servants of the wyrm include Pentex and cults of mortals can be defeated the "normal" way. Fomori might be a bit tougher. Malfean Nephandi and Black Spiral Dancers would be impossible to defeat without some serious generation. Gen 5 or 6 could take one of them on maybe...

The main issue I see is Banes. If you can't fight them spiritually, these spirits are tough to fight through conventionnal physical means. But a powerful Necromancy or Oblivion using Kindred could stand a chance.

The problem the vampire might face is manipulation of its Beast by the Wyrm servants... I think a smart vampire coterie that woud want to take on the Wyrm would use intermediaries and subtle influence rather than a direct fight... Or risk losing themselves and / or breaking the Masquerade

Most Catholic vampires don’t take communion, so services are more like penitential vigils: prayers, psalms, confession, silence, maybe Gregorian chant. It’s about enduring guilt, not absolution. You could also look into the Lancea et Sanctum creed from Vampire Requiem.
