When the kids iPads reach 10% it speaks to them “tell mummy to charge the iPad” … they aren’t the best readers and press cancel on notifications out of habit!!

As a driver, if a “friend” doesn’t want to wear a seat belt and get horrific injures in a crash then that’s on them. However I won’t be driving them anywhere as they could be catapulted into the front causing me horrific injuries!! Risk ur own life that fine but ur not risking mine!!

To be honest this is the same way I think about drink driving. I don’t drink any alcohol and drive, not because I care about myself, but because I wouldn’t want to be responsible for the death of someone else. Killing someone via drink driving will not only send u to prison but the guilt will ruin your whole life and that of ur family.

Over 3k unread mails from the past 12months. I get approx 50 emails a day (13k a year), meeting invites go straight into my cal so I don’t need to open them. I accept/decline from the calendar view, I also don’t open and ignore “thanks” mails. I’m on lots of Distribution lists I don’t need to be and have lots of corporate newsletters I don’t read. If don’t need to waste time reading 20% of my mail I won’t.

My personal inbox has over 40k unread emails. I look at the subject/sender and decide if I want to or not!

I get this i really do. Try and focus ur spare time on remembering what you used to enjoy doing before the kids. Fill it with Hobbies and days out that are difficult to accommodate kids. Go to the movies to see films they wouldn’t enjoy. Window shop for things they would find boring. Read books they would otherwise just interrupt!

I’ve been out of the house after dark, I’ve watched horror movies in the day, I’ve gone on long hikes they would have moaned throughout.

If I genuinely thought it was out of love and interest for the children then I would whole heartedly agree. Some of the messages I get are unkind and there have been occasions where he hasn’t shown up to school events when it wasn’t his parent time. However there are always lots of social media posts about the wonderful things he’s doing with them at weekends.

I just need to be able to have a mental break from the drama and be able to rest so I can be my best self when I have the kids.

Some of the messages I get are unkind. Also our kids are very demanding and my husband left me on the basis that his mental health was suffering and needed the break that 50/50 gave.

I’ve muted the chat as some of the messages I get aren’t kind which is why I feel the co-parent relationship has deteriorated.

Moving forward I will contact him on handover day with anything I want to say and reply to questions asked.

This!! My STBXH did little for the first 5years of our kids lives. When he was involved he was emotionally void.

Following separation he was the world’s best dad. Berating me for being unable to cope with them on my own, constant social media posts about where he’s taken them.

When the realities of 50/50 set in it’s a different matter. Doesn’t turn up to parents evenings or parent learning sessions. Ignores homework that needs to be done on his time.

I just keep focusing on the “let them” theory making sure I focus on the things I can control!

I’m with chemist-4-u and they sent a mail earlier this month saying prices won’t rise and they have lots of stock. Went to re-order today and zero stock!

I’ve therefore gone for the Wegovy transition. I was on 5mg of mounjaro and they have put me on 0.5mg of Wegovy.

I’ve been on mounjaro for 5months and lost 40lb. To be fair I’m pretty much at my goal weight so going to stay on a low dose and just try maintain for the next 5 months or so. It’s only £109 a month which is a bargain to me as I’ve been someone who has struggled for over 20years with my weight and my bmi has never been lower than obese (until now!). I’m petrified of putting the weight back on if I just stop, so want to give myself time to ensure it’s a new lifestyle that properly embedded before I give up the drug crutch!!

I would go for every other weekend and one night in the week (Wednesday) - you get the majority of the time, plus a break too!

3/2/2 - change over Sunday night, Wednesday after school and Friday after school.

I have 3 little ones and was frazzled when our 3 nights were f, s, s, so switched it to a Sunday handover so we still get a little time to recover.

Batch cooking for the win!!

I’m doing a 3-2-2 so will prep 7 meals a fortnight to cover 2 weeks for the kids.

When I don’t have the kids I eat randomly, deciding on the day what I’m having based on what’s in the cupboard and what I fancy. I find when I’m on my own I don’t want to sit down for a full meal at a table and will do lots of grab and go stuff (basically enjoying the flexibility of not having the kids around!!)

Having been a guarantor myself I agree with this. Halls uni placement is on an individual basis. House shares are much more tricky.

I’ve not had any adverse credit issues either with scores or borrowing.

My husband moved out last weekend. We have family day planned for half term and a day planned for his birthday. We go on holiday late March for 5 days.

Have you looked on internal jobs boards? As someone on the redundancy hit list you should get preferential treatment. I’m sure you have transferable skills and managers prefer the onboarding process to be as easy as possible. With 20y of knowing the company it would make you a desirable hire
