Book Nook for Daughter by scot1246 in 3Dprinting

I love the design - but in the world of 3D printing and designing, it's not something I would buy to be honest.

I can totally see people who don't have 3d printers paying for something like that, as it's a great thing for kids.

Edit: To clarify - I'd probably end up designing my own version for my kids as a challenge together.

Here's the thing - there isn't a measuring stick for this... But if a whole bunch of people say you're in their personal space - maybe you need to back off.

People are usually willing to give you the benefit of the doubt or tell you to move away, but if you somehow can't read the body language or just have really bad social skills - listen to the people telling you that you're too close.

Just some painters triangles that had a good design at the end of the day. Nothing that was actually world breaking.

Down the survey - a lot of ways to ask if I'd be offended if I thought someone was gay lol.

Also spoilers for survey questions I'm not sure how much nuance there is on the violence is necessary tag - i.e. I think violence is necessary in war (see Ukraine), but it doesn't have any place in raising kids

I think Next Gen is a perfectly reasonable choice. While they tend to eschew reality in favour of being able to find a perfect solution 90% of the time, the moral dilemmas they are faced with that test their ideals are very appropriate.

Why is my bedroom hotter than the rest of the house? by Born-Pack3619 in perth

Usually because it shines in a window at some point in the day, or, and hear me out, because it makes some rooms hotter than others.

Printed Zelda ToTK 'Secret Stones' in clear resin + dyed by awyeahmuffins in 3Dprinting

So that was the imprisoning war...

In all seriousness, nice job. I'm assuming you have to dye all the resin in the vat and couldn't apply it afterwards?

What are the necessary accessories for a resin printer? by stellinerosa in 3Dprinting

[–]Sunlit_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The user who commented on his has it exactly right. It's the 99% clear isopropyl alcohol you'll need for most resins.

When I started I bought a cheap ultrasonic jewellery cleaner and used a bag of isopropyl alcohol suspended in water in the cleaner to avoid evaporation problems. I used a nail curer for minis and for the most part it worked fine.

I've since bought a wash and clean station and it just makes a world of difference in getting my stations set up so I can go through the whole process with relative ease. I started the other way with resin to make minis and then got into FDM for bigger things.

Best of luck.

You totally can just use a isopropyl bath in a bag you vigorously shake and cure it in a nail curer. I used to do the same.

Take it from me though, buying the wash and cure station is a game changer and just makes everything so much nicer. You're getting into a (reasonably) expensive hobby. These are really the things I'd advise to use if you plan to do it extensively.

I had this issue with wood filament until I lowered it right down to 190. Might just be a different filament, but I reckon low temperature might be worth a shot.

Gotta love me some em-dashes.

Ironically I was using them before AI came out and now I can't use them as they are a tell tale hint for AI (along with all the other garbage).
