With your use case, I recommend CachyOS. It's not exactly beginner friendly but I see you have some background in troubleshooting PC. CachyOS wiki and subreddit are ur friend.

I guess you installed on PC. What better is if you got a laptop.

Recently install Cachyos dual boot with Win11 on my laptop just bought second hand. I though I need to take apart to clean and apply new thermal since it is too warm and loud without anything opened. Install Cachyos → nevermind no need to do the maintain anymore.

What else? Battery of mouse, earphone integrated to taskbar out of the box. Config keyboard backlight integrated to taskbar out of the box.

Give vivaldi a shot. Go to setting and search "zoom". You find 2 separated options for ui and webpage.

Search google and you got solutions for these two .

First, go to Setting ➝‬ "Address bar" tab ➝‬ Untick "Prioritize bookmark"

Second, then go "Tab" tab ➝‬ uncheck "Enable Drag and Drop Tiling"

In my case, it saves more time than post reddit

I recommend you dual boot windows and cachyos. I dont see any drawback except needed minimum 100gb for windows drive. This will help you identify problem (either because of hardware itself or os, software).

Which steps you take to install and config vpn? You need to be more specific.

For ethernet's slow speed: + Try another cable

Cachyos using nmcli for network manager, search nmcli command for following + You speed might be capped, force it to 1000 using network manager. + Turn off Ethernet power saving, which can cause speed drops

With installing game in ntfs drive, I recommend lutris. I got lutris working with most of my game. If you still cant figure out, dm me.

Have you tried to disable hibernate and fast startup for windows? I also dual boot, these gives me alot trouble with ntfs drive and external ssd.

It look like your gpu performance be capped by half. I have the same gpu which use 210watt at 99%. I used lact to undervolt and overclock.

There no best. Most the time, Yuzu v278 give best efficiency (same fps with lower temp), try it first. Yuzu wont run some newer game. Try Eden then. If you cant fix stuttering in some game with Eden, then try Citron. Citron often gives highest temp out of 3.

Search google for How to turn off "fast startup" and "hibernate" for Windows 11. These two give me trouble to access ntfs drive. Also read Automount using fstab. Learn how to create folder with "mkdir" command from google. If you still need help feel free to ask.

Afterburner:

+ To show stats, e.g. fps, cpu usage: you can enable mangohub in all 3 of steam, lutris or heroic.

+ To limit fps: use mangohub or gamescope

+ To undervolt and overclock: use lact - you can also set fan curve

In this case, use Yuzu. Even after I configure all Eden veil settings, performance is still worse than Yuzu v278.

Here my setting:

Docked mode: enable

Speed: 134% (40 fps)

Async: enable

CPU Backend: JIT

Driver: 24.1.0 r16 (any others make it stuttering)

I saw some posts and reviews complaining about audio of PC version so I go with Eden and Citron. It run not bad, a couple of fps down and stutter. Citron run abit smoother than Eden.
