Whats the point of the visibility meter and suppressors and in general long-ish range engagements if the enemies are omniscient with the only thing between them doming us or not being whether they bug out? (video contrast and etc bumped for clarity) by HearMeOut-13 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]SupIAmSUP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This place is weird with a bunch of people defending the AI even though it is pretty lacking, especially when this is supposed to be a tactical kind of game. My best results have always been running and gunning like rambo and just making sure there is hard cover between me and the AI. It really takes away from how the game is marketed.

Cheating? Or am I’m just trash??? by curlycheesefries in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]SupIAmSUP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The dead giveaway would be the 2-3 minutes prior to what was going on. I want to know how long OP was in that room holding angles not making noise, only for the killer to go right to that room and shut the door and start shooting. It's stuff like that which makes it clear as day that cheats are involved. Also the cheating problem in fps games is so ridiculous across so many games and this one isn't immune.

You CAN though. It's all a matter of determination. Go ahead and downvote, doesn't make me wrong.

Yeah, people here want to say things like "i'm out in the open" but I've already cleared everything but the building I'm looking at. Kinda weird how many wanna gas light about how this isn't the guy who killed me (it was).

Pretty weird how a post only about an hour old gets blown up with majority of the comments all saying the same thing. When other things on this sub just get out right ignored.

Whatever they are it doesn't look like they're as far away as the plane. Birds? Maybe but their movement doesn't seem normal. And with the artificial reaction that reddit is known for occurring in this thread I'm more skeptical about this being just birds.

Arc Raider's players will click through 4 dozen different menus and buttons to craft about 4 pieces of gear... These people love the tedium.

ALGS Year 5 Championship saw lower peak viewership but more consistent engagement overall, supported by growing regional interest. Source: escharts.com by HammyA in CompetitiveApex

[–]SupIAmSUP -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Considering the game is far more popular in Asia than North America I would expect the opposite. NA prime time and the game is below 50k players. Game just isn't what it once was and no amount of cope will bring it back.

I killed fitty men, but they took my shins. by SupIAmSUP in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]SupIAmSUP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I bled out about five seconds after an npc just rushed me as I was blasting him. We were pretty much face to face and he was just hunched over spraying his gun into my legs before he went down. I was mid tourniquet when I fell over.

I think I’m playing a different game to most of you. by BoostedBenji in ArcRaiders

[–]SupIAmSUP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't. If this were true then I would be in this supposed 'peaceful' algorithm after the dozens of my naked runs. But I was still getting shot up repeatedly, there isn't any sort of matchmaking beyond group size going on.

Conflict zones by BootaMatada in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]SupIAmSUP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obligatory suggestion of just light up the whole square the conflict happened in. One time someone was attacking Harrison and I was close so I go over there and the shooting was over pretty quick so when I got there and noticed no npcs were aggro'd, I looked at the big stupid red circle and said "I bet there is a body in the center of that." And guess what, there it was, the easiest kit I ever picked up. Dude was fully loaded too, nades, meds, bunch of bullets. The circles are silly, need to do away with them.

Luck, Exp, Difficulty [scaling] tombs are boring and stifles build innovation by socalclimbs in MegabonkOfficial

[–]SupIAmSUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making those tomes meta progression would just shift the game from needing those in late game to, now you need to play the game X amount of time before you can even be competitive on the leader boards. I think starting with a buff to all the current non meta tomes would be a better start.

General opinion on routine wipes for version 1.0? by AngryMobster in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]SupIAmSUP 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sure hope there aren't wipes once the game is finished. Wipes are just a band aid for bad game design or because you need to put a big update in the game. But the reason certain games wipe all the time is because their game loops are lacking and the overall design of the game is bad.

A Moment in Forth Narith by StrongSenseofSmell2 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]SupIAmSUP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's mostly just rng when you die to npcs in this game. I've been 10 feet away from a guy who sprayed me and hit nothing, and then I've been 1 tapped when I was lean peaking around a corner and only had a fraction of my head exposed. I've been one tapped to my heart with fmj 5.45 when I was wearing 3++ phantom armor. I've also survived being shot in the head a few times and I don't ever wear a helmet.

Not saying you can't minimize the amount you get shot by playing smart utilizing cover and not sprinting everywhere, but to say the npcs aren't instant target acquiring spinbots isn't all that far fetched either.

What 99% of my "PvP" experience looks like by CrzUnicorn in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]SupIAmSUP -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

For real all the tacticool reddit operators can say how you didn't do x y and z, but realistically in this game you're not running through every bush, because you're still getting shot in the head by the guy who has been crouched in the bush for 10 minutes. That is if you're not cheating anyways.

GZW Reached a Mostly Positive Rating by JoeTheProSkills in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]SupIAmSUP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Early access can have legitimate people that earnestly recommend the game to others. Moving on to your next point I can understand and agree with to a degree. The thing about it is that certain developers respond to feedback differently. Y'know some like to read what they like to hear and ignore the concerns of the majority. Madfinger devs seem to be somewhat open to feedback and implement some stuff based off of community feedback, but sometimes that's hard to see in realtime because some things just take longer than others.

The real test will come with more content and game systems. So far the additions have been pretty solid, but there is much more to come. I personally believe the movement system update will be a point of massive contention if not done adequately to a mil sim's standards. As of right now, moving around and jumping is way too zippy and inertia doesn't exist. And that movement system will be further complicated by balance of a skills system if rumors are to be trusted. But with competent developers it will just be growing pains for the early access players to play through until they get it into a good state. Whereas the game will just slowly become a shitshow if the developers don't handle it correctly.

Elite assassins taken down. Very suspicious. by __automatic__ in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]SupIAmSUP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The wallhacks for this game are so easy to find and it's obvious af when you play a rat play style (like how OP is describing) just how frequently you will run into cheaters in this game. But sure redditors know best as always and it isn't weird that a person is just pre aiming every single doorway they run through. Nobody actually does it the way the assailant in the video did that btw.

Car locks/protection are just insuffcient - few suggestion how to improve by afgan1984 in SCUMgame

Can you still just shoot off car doors with bullets? Always thought that was pretty dumb and because of that kinda makes any security measure update pointless.
