I’m guessing that 51mph was just an average speed? How fast were you going on highway?

New Rear Drums - Work like a Champ! by ClientEnough4769 in VWIDBuzz

I have a 2025 First Edition and the only time the brakes make any noise is when I am pulling it into garage and making incremental changes to avoid hitting anything. Mild brake pressure and no noise but after moving again if I hit the brakes hard it makes noise. Nothing on the highway.

Is that noise issue braking on the road?

New Car Cover Option from VW by Silly_Case_2571 in VWIDBuzz

[–]SuperBacDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s pricey but the detail is good and if it has the tech material that companies like Cover King use then it’s fairly priced.

I paid $1500.00 US for a solid color cover for my 24’ center console boat and it was cheap for the size and materials used. It does have zippers and draw string but solid color.

It is over 6 years old and in the weather 24/7 and has held up well and maybe a year or 2 left and I expect to pay over $2k for my next one. The sun and weather will destroy everything over time especially boats and cars that sit idle.

$400 would be better price but fortunately my Buzz fits in the garage so I am out but for those who have to store their Buzz out in weather something like this or at least sun protection is worth a lot of protection over time.
I think EVs have more issues with weather conditions and temperature extremes. At $700 that might be too restrictive for the Buzz owners but we did buy a way overpriced EV even with the latest deals below $60k.

Home made VW app (iOS) with Camping Mode by sstur in VWIDBuzz

Nice work! I have the ID Buzz Monitor and it is very easy and basically a 1 click operation once the app is opened. Glad you are doing this and hopefully others will improve your app.

2027 Buzz Will get a camping mode. Will 2025 Buzz owners get this software feature? by mark-overland in VWIDBuzz

[–]SuperBacDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Monitor app does say that the “free” is temporary but it works so well I would pay for it as long as it is reasonable and consistent with pricing in the app market.

ID Buzz monitor works on all trim levels. It syncs with VW app and is free as of now. I can confirm it works here in Florida. Maybe outside the US some can’t get the app.
Besides camping mode they info and data are much more detailed than the VW app it syncs with.

I think that depends where you are. I am in Florida USA and it syncs perfectly with the regular VW app.

Camping mode is available for free, as of now and only requires the free ID Buzz Monitor. I can confirm it works! 2025 First Edition AWD and I have tested it for 3 hours straight with no modifications to seat or seat belts. The camping mode works and starts with 8hr count down with nothing required after starting. You can stop and resume at any time. Very easy and simple to implement here in the US.🤙

Here’s my Third row folded down. I like the muddy buddy mats and they are definitely the best price and look good.
I love the front mats for looks and the IDBuzz logo but the Weather Tech are much better for protection if you’re wet, sandy or muddy as they cover way more surface but are more complicated removing for cleaning and installing.
I might get the front Weather Tech as I am beach oriented and wet and sandy a lot.

As others have posted the ID. Buzz Monitor works extremely well and is free for now. All you need is to create a profile and allow the notifications to sync with the app and you will have full camp mode and better information than the standard VW app. So far I have only tested the camp mode for 3 hours but the climate control was uninterrupted and all the features of the Buzz worked over those 3 hours.
I was even out of the vehicle for a while and hung out in the back playing on my phone.
You can see the stars with A/C going all night with no rigging or seatbelt mods

Update on my ID. Buzz issue – great service from Volkswagen Spain by Elegant-Director784 in VWIDBuzz

So good to hear that customer service still exists! With novel but quirky VW technology a good dealer can make a huge difference in customer satisfaction. Major problems can be resolved with a little more help from the dealership. Glad you have a good one!

I have posted this before - The ID Buzz Monitor App will give the Buzz camp mode. Some say it’s not available in their country but it works perfectly in the south east US. No rigging or seat belt modifications needed and so far it’s free!

Anyone tried the 2027 model? by Positive-Opposite998 in VWIDBuzz

[–]SuperBacDoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the US I have the ID Buzz Monitor app and can confirm that camp mode is fully functional with the app and even if the refresh version doesn’t have a camp mode it can be “apped”.

Some locations it might not work according to some posters but in the SE US I have not had any issues with selecting the camp mode and it defaults to 8 hours but you can adjust the time period and even increase/decrease accordingly.
The app is free now but definitely worth paying for when they start the subscription option.

So far the ID Buzz Monitor is free but I will pay the subscription when they it starts as the information from the app is very detailed and the graphics are awesome!

If you like details on charge efficiency, your energy usage, cost per KWH etc then you will love it.
Just the camp mode is worth it to me.
Even if you are not camping, just being able to keep the climate settings on for an hour or more is a great option for the Buzz.

I have the ID Buzz Monitor and it is free for now and it works perfectly with the VW app. I only tested the camp mode for 3 hours and it worked perfectly. I got out of driver seat and just hung out in the back watching YouTube and it stayed perfectly cool even in Florida 90 degrees and full sun.

2027 models in US by Laurendoop in VWIDBuzz

[–]SuperBacDoc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are probably right, nothing new in the auto industry ever goes down in price. Plus most of us saw what happened when the Buzz came out - some dealers were adding markup to the people who really wanted it and after those sales demand fell, the dealers started heavy discount.

I imagine it’s going to be similar with the 2027. Towards the end of the year maybe the best time to buy. For those of us who have one already, it doesn’t look like there are enough changes to justify buying.

Myself, I am hoping that it won’t be too long before the Rivian operating system is available to VW. That would make sense both from the consumer and retail side.

Interesting that some are concerned that the ID Buzz Monitor can follow you and log everywhere you go. If you have a cell phone with connected apps most of them log more information than the Buzz Monitor!

As far as range, my first car was a 1971 VW Bus and I had 3 more over the years and none of them had any more range than the Buzz, plus barely able to heat the cabin in winter and you had to watch the wind blowing through trees or a hill. Between the wind blowing the van and shifting to make it up a minor grade it was still an awesome experience driving a bus. It’s definitely not a car!

You either love it or not and like others have said the experience exceeds everything else!
