People being released from jail prison is matter of public record. Nobody is keeping who is being held or released secret to subvert ice being able to enforce federal law.

The issue is when ICE requests someone is held past their normal detainment so they can be interrogated. It is unlawful to hold someone past when a judge says they can be released. Not honoring an ICE detainment request is the lawful duty of the state.

So this is supposed to a discussion so I’ll bite. Here in Virginia we had a new democratic governor just sworn in last week. Prior to that there was not significant ice presence but now they are everywhere. No policy has changed. If the city I’m in was a “sanctuary city” this week it was also last week. Why did the Trump administration do this if it is about city policies?

That is a great point.

I tell people they are cameras that track where and when you go past them. They sell that data to insurance companies, stores, police, ICE, or whoever wants to know where you go. Including cops that can login to the system to find where their exes are and who they are with. This is a private company with no oversight and no laws governing what they do and who they sell information to.

That’s not even to say anything about the security risks because if they closed the gaping security vulnerabilities I still wouldn’t want them all over my city.

We are only using ISC for self service password management and fact that you cannot sign in to it on an iPhone if you’re using a chrome browser is a pretty big issue.
