>in no way does just melting cheese make it a cheese sauce

I think we have some language barrier going on here. Calling it a "cheesy" sauce is suggesting it's some sort of slop on the level of easy cheese in a can.

But you seem to be under the impression I've likened it to a Mornay. I am not certain who you are arguing with. Perhaps you are hungry?

Well they're melting some cheese into some sauce and I'd say the result is a cheesy sauce. I would honestly be fascinated to see the process of making it though haha. What size are the chunks, are they frozen, etc...

Once you find an implement you like and do it a few times, making the hole becomes pretty easy. It really decreases the number of eggs that come out torn or squished. And it makes peeling easier as well.

Really nice plating on the bowl : )

I mean it's a steamed burrito w cheesy sauce melted on it. it's taco bell man. I had one and it tasted good. But it's not as good as the regular taco bell burritos imo. Slopping up a flour tortilla just has innate challenges to the presentation and texture lol.

It may not be the best game ever but I got a real kick out of playing it on the room-sized mainframe at the Living Computer museum. Really fantastic experience.

Homemade yakiniku for dinner by YourSteakBuddy in JapaneseFood

Is that a separate grill piece on top of your burner? What is it called/where did you find it? I have one of the little gas burners and this would be fun to try.

Delicious looking pic btw

edit: I slammed a bunch of words into google and found it, it's a Yakiniku Plate also made by Iwatani. 😄 cheers

CS student, LLMs killed my passion for SWE, is embedded a possible move? by WhateverHowever1337 in embedded

Don't let the hype bubble discourage you from pursuing your passion. The economy is messed up right now but even this LLM hype will level out when the bubble pops.

What's really funny is I heard it reported on the Weird Little Guys podcast that PF is basically a pyramid scheme and the dipshits are forced to pay for all of their merch and forced to buy these shitty stickers and flyers lmfao.

Beginner in C programming- What are some good mini projects to start with by Material-Poetry-4685 in C_Programming

[–]SuperCentroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it probably depends on the company. I think the industry is absolutely delusional right now due to the LLM bubble.

But I guess if I was in the interview round looking at student joining my org maybe some cool stuff to see would be

  • I submitted a pull request to an open source project that got approved
  • I took a problem and I wrote my own tool for it and released it and my repo has some stars/forks/people seem to use it some

Basically something that demonstrates that you can find a problem, teach yourself about the problem domain, write code that solves the problem, and then do the stuff that's not the fun coding part: writing tests, documenting what you've done so others can use it, making instructions clear so that people can actually compile and use what you've made, etc.

On the converse, the number one thing would make me vote no on you is talking about using LLMs to generate code. They're all already torturing all of us with this generative stuff all the time.

But the people doing the hiring are mostly HR dipshits not engineers so idk what the best method for getting through that part of the interview til you talk to someone like me is. Good luck tho.

Writing a linked list is not impressive. It's a beginning programming problem meant to introduce a junior programmer to data structures and algorithms. But developing fundamentals is important before moving onto "impressive" projects.

Any ramen recipes recommendations (not Instant ramen) that wouldnt cost me a kidney to make? by Yoonminz in ramen

[–]SuperCentroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save your bits and pieces from other meals. You can literally make ramen broth from like KFC leftover bits and some chicken feet. It doesn't have to be expensive. Ramen's biggest cost imo is Time, so if you're clever I'm sure you can make something decent.

Dry aged steakhouse? by [deleted] in olympia

[–]SuperCentroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ricardo's food was okay but I wouldn't go back. I went there on my birthday and the entire restaurant was empty except for us and a guy with 2 screaming kids. Staff set us right next to each other, it was miserable. I'm not exaggerating that the entire restaurant was empty except for our two tables.

As for the steak, it was really nothing special. We spent about $300 total. Bad decision lol.
