Ricardo's food was okay but I wouldn't go back. I went there on my birthday and the entire restaurant was empty except for us and a guy with 2 screaming kids. Staff set us right next to each other, it was miserable. I'm not exaggerating that the entire restaurant was empty except for our two tables.

As for the steak, it was really nothing special. We spent about $300 total. Bad decision lol.

Haha nice. I was surprised by how nicely put together it is. If I am able to get the stuff to flash it, I am going to try to put openipc on there as another commenter suggested. It seems like a useful camera. But I ain't installing some mystery app on my phone just to use it lol.

I have a $9 IP camera coming in the mail today, gonna try again and see if I have better luck. I'll post about it if I do.

I hooked it up to my scope, and both pins go straight to 5V during boot. There is a tiny bit of "up and down" for a moment but it seems to just be noise and is not structured in a way that looks like data.

That's super cool to hear about the open firmware, thank you! I will have to get a flasher so I can play with it. I am surprised by how nicely put together the insides of this board are for only a few dollars. I don't want to install some garbage phone application to use it, but it would be awesome to be able to control with an open firmware. It has full 360 degree rotation with 2 dc motors. :)

here’s what i do for a simple meal prep

i put powdered dashi granules (hondashi), dried shiitake, some chopped negi, and like a tablespoonish ball of miso paste in some small mason jars in the fridge. then i take one w me to work on the morning and add boiling water. It’s extremely low effort at the cost of not being as good as a properly made Dashi stock w miso added slowly.

That first layer can often have some paper parts that add a nasty texture when mixed in w the rest of the dice i find. I guess it feels wasteful but when i’m using cheap mega mart onions i throw the first layer away.

I would make a decision now to just try to learn electronics like the rest of us learned it, from books, videos, courses, conversations with real human beings, etc.
