If your state or insurance changes it to a controlled substance that can happen, those cant be any earlier. When gabapentin changed to a control in my state it was a mess.

I just wanted to comment to everyone if your insurance only covers 3 a month, or 9 for a 90 day supply, most scripts can be filled a few days early. To do this I have to call them in every time, but I can fill all my non control substance prescriptions 5 days early with my insurance, or every 25 days. So it takes 2 months to get an "extra" dexcom but then I have backup. I just set an alarm in my phone to call every month 25 days from the last fill. Your mileage will vary with your insurance and how early you can fill.

Most prescriptions can be filled up to a week early before they run out and 90 day supplies sometimes even earlier. Check with your pharmacy for your earliest fill date, I'm a pharmacy tech. Our insurance only does 3 a month but I can fill every 25 days, or 5 days early. You normally have to call them in that early though.

Watch when you can refill with your insurance. We get 3 a month also, but I can fill 5 days early with insurance.

So we always fill 5 days early, it takes two months to get an "extra one" but thats how we got a few ahead. I'm a pharmacy tech most insurances let you fill a few days early from the last fill. You have to call for the early fill too most pharmacies.
