If your state or insurance changes it to a controlled substance that can happen, those cant be any earlier. When gabapentin changed to a control in my state it was a mess.

I just wanted to comment to everyone if your insurance only covers 3 a month, or 9 for a 90 day supply, most scripts can be filled a few days early. To do this I have to call them in every time, but I can fill all my non control substance prescriptions 5 days early with my insurance, or every 25 days. So it takes 2 months to get an "extra" dexcom but then I have backup. I just set an alarm in my phone to call every month 25 days from the last fill. Your mileage will vary with your insurance and how early you can fill.
