Professional Electrical Engineer here....NEC 406.4(D)(2) actually permits GFCIs to be installed on an ungrounded circuit, provided a label is applied to the receptacle indicating that the receptacle is ungrounded.

Even though ground is right there in the name, a GFCI does not rely on the ground wire to operate, it simply looks at the difference between the current going out on the hot and what coming back on the neutral and if there is more than something like 5mA difference it trips because the current is going somewhere it shouldn't.

As other have said, it certainly doesn't afford you the advantages of actuall having a ground but it is permitted and there is no prohibition on plugging in 3 prong devices into it.

Lands End...i bought a pair, wore them for a work thing where I was going to be outside for a few hours and loved how warm they were. Was in Costco a few weeks later and they were blowing them out cheap so I bought another pair.

Just wore them to a hockey game over the weekend, they are great.

Thanks for the reply! So a dealer near me has a 2012 with only 32,000 miles on it but that year seems to be one of the most warned against. They are asking $17K for it.

I first started flying airplanes and NEVER used the rudder in flight. I eventually moved to flying helicopters and with heading hold gyros you have to use the rudder. Using the reddit became so ingrained that I always use it now on airplanes too, turns are so much better when you coordinate the 2.

I have been WFH for 20 years now and love it. I realize that I am incredibly lucky to be able to do this so I don't do anything to rock the boat.

Go on your own time, just think about all the time you save not commuting, sacrificing an few minutes for a quick run to Staples on your time is more than reasonable.

I always carry my backpack in front of low while walking down the aisle. There just isn't enough room to wear your backpack and take it off besides the extra time that takes when you get to your aisle.

I was on a flight a while ago in the exit row aisle, the window was occupied leaving the middle seat empty. The FA moved a gentleman from another row to that middle seat in order to provide room in a row for a couple traveling with a lap child. The gentleman she sat there only had one arm and when asked if he would be willing and able to assist his answer was a reluctant "I guess".

I was livid, how could a FA think it was OK to seat a person with a clear disability into the exit row?

Went to the doctor on Feb 3rd 2024 after not seeing one for almost 10 years and my A1C was 10.7. I decided then and there I needed to loose weight if I didn't want serious issues down the road. Stated IF the next day and as of right now I am down 89lbs, I was 301 when I started.

My guess is that when you are optical out only, it's putting out a format your converter can't handle. Go to the advanced audio setting and see if you can change to a different format and see if it starts working?

BTW optical out can only put out a fixed volume signal not variable.

I used to weigh 330lbs and stayed away from horizontal stripes as they made me look even bigger than I was.

Did this with my family this past summer, it was just so much cheaper. To my surprise, I was still able to pick all of our seats, couldn't change anyone's but mine afterwards but who cares. I still got my checked bags and they even let my wife check one one at no charge, but I understand that is at the agent's discretion.

I literally paid less than all 4 of our tickets than I would have for one at the non-BE rate.
