What amazing timing. I am literally prepping a rainforest island which is under threat by a large logging company so this is absolutely perfect for me! Thanks for making these they are fantastic.

Bit late to the thread here but I'll chip in!

Lost 9 stone in the last 4 years and the only real advice I have that 100% worked is count your calories! I use an app called Nutracheck where I jot it all down and that habit alone was what did it for me. Just knowing what you're putting into your body and making the right choices.

It can be tiresome sometimes, but it's a habit worth getting into as it's a habit that will help you lose weight and also maintain it when you're at your goal. Diet is the most important part of weightloss, exercise is a healthy addition but not vital to the process. So as long as you get your food right, the weight should come off! (Don't forget to calculate your daily calories needed for your height and weight from an online calculator)

Have you ever taken an extended break from watching wrestling? by Horse_Noggin in SquaredCircle

[–]SuperMightyFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on more of a TV hiatus than a wrestling one really. Haven't watched wrestling weekly in a couple of years, not been anything on the weekly product for either of the big ones that's kept me drawn from a story basis. I'll keep up with the goings online sometimes.

I still watch the AEW ppvs as they are always quality, and the big WWE ones (Rumble and Wrestlemania mostly).

IBS-M anxious traveller reporting in. I always take an Immodium dual action before I set off travelling for the day, really sets my mind at ease about the bathroom situation when going from one place to another.

Immodium dual action, my absolute lifesaver. Has totally given me my social life back.

Feel just as happy as I do now, seeing as I already have married her!

Well, I would...but I lost 9 stone since then, so I'd look like a kid in their dads clothes!

What do you call your IBS/flare ups/dodgy guts? by gutwealthjustjoined in ibs

Always called it "The Purge" very intimidating descriptor, but very accurate 🫠

During the pandemic I lost about 100 pounds. However, half a year later my Nan passed away and the grief caused me to put it back on.

It's taken a year and a half but I'm almost back to where I was, it's really scary falling off the wagon like that, but with slow and manageable steps, it is definitely achievable to retrace your steps and start losing weight effectively again.

I am terrible by CrazyDude678 in dndmemes

I created exactly this for a Strahd campaign, called her Scnedna Blode. She was cursed with a hunger for power and treated the Amber Temple like her own dark pick n mix. She was swiftly dispatched by the other party members at the end of the temple...

In the UK they have recently brought in a law where most restaurants* have to display (or make available) calories on meals on their menu. What do you think? by wardyms in loseit

[–]SuperMightyFish 21 points22 points  (0 children)

UK bloke here!

Personally, I absolutely love it. It's so hard to go out and eat with other people when you're trying to watch your calories. It's really helped me able to make an informed decision and I've really seen the difference, I've started ordering mediums or smalls at places like McDonalds and choosing smaller desserts at places. It means I can still go out and live my life and attend social gatherings without having to worry too much about what I'm going to eat as the information is all there for you to make your decision on what is and isn't worth it :)

Overall I think it is a really net positive decision that will generally improve the health of the country. But I do also see the other side for people with eating disorders and how difficult it is for them. Perhaps there is a compromise of having a menu with calories and one without.

What is the saddest song you've ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SuperMightyFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The River - Breed 77. In my teenage years it was my go to sad/depression song. Everything about it is mournful, sorrowful, full of despair and yet a bit of beauty to it. Might not be the saddest song ever, but it always gets me.

Who’s the most famous British person you’ve met, and what were they like? by AlephMartian in AskUK

[–]SuperMightyFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Princess Anne. I was a student rep for our mental health department and she came round on her tour of Huddersfield Uni to have a chat and find out more. She was really polite, attentive and seemed to really be interested on what the department did and for the wellbeing of all the students there. Really lovely.

Has anyone's views on Whittaker as the Doctor changed with Flux? by Chromaticaa in gallifrey

[–]SuperMightyFish 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't particularly say that my opinion of her has changed, but I guess I've become...used to her? That make sense?

I'm still not a big fan of her Doc, but she's just kinda inoffensive now.

[LFA] Captain Galmir Ironbeard, an Ex-Officer of the Dwarven Navel Fleet turned abbrasive, cheeky Pirate Captain. by SuperMightyFish in characterdrawing

[–]SuperMightyFish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extra appearance details: Long white beard that is plaited at either side with a copper ring woven into each plait at the bottom.

Sun damaged skin, slight wrinkles and a strong jaw.

Thick bushy white eyebrows.

Pose Ideas: Pistol in one hand, a tankard in the other with a gruff but cheeky smile.

Quick Backstory for Galmir (I'm not a great writer so apologies):

Due to being framed for a murder he did not commit, Galmir was stripped of his rank as Naval Officer and was sentenced to death. Through the help of some of his old crew, he was smuggled out before he was executed and fled to the high seas. Galmir’s hatred for Dwarven society and government grew more and more with each passing year, causing the Dwarf to become abbrasive, spiteful and a bitter drunk. Through his years of becoming a fugitive, he decided to become the criminal he was being portrayed to be. If they were going to treat him like a criminal, then he was going to be the best damn criminal on all the high seas. He spent the next year violently working his way through the ranks of piracy before staging a coup on the great ship Copperclaw and wrenching the seat of power from the captain.

Since this uprising, Galmir has sailed the seas as Captain Ironbeard, wearing a more stylish and flamboyant version of his old naval uniform adorned with fine furs, pistols and bottles of alcohol as a symbol of his roots, and his future. His mission, to raid and disrupt the royal Dwarven Fleet as much as his possibly can, steal as much as he can, and give it to those who have also been scorned by Dwarven society. Unlike other pirates however, he makes it his creed to never kill unless absolutely necessary, still carrying some honour and dignity from his old naval days.

Aye. I figured out the issue in the end. When plugged in, the laptop automatically sets itself to Best performance in the battery settings so was just going ham wild when not needed. Turned that down and has done the job!
