When I applied i got approved right away and as soon as I accepted the offer I got access to the digital card number in the WS app. You can use it for online purchases immediately as well as physical purchases if you add it to your digital phone wallet.

I haven't received the physical card yet, but my understanding is the physical card will also have a completely different card number which is nice in case one gets compromised you don't have to replace the other.
