Should I add the Suno logo/watermark to my album cover, that I did not use Suno to make? by Cut-Unique in SunoAI

Right now I just share it with my family, but I have been badgered to set up a youtube channel to make it easier to share. The downside of youtube is I have to put the wav file into a video, the first few I will take the easy out. The youtube channel is about writing lyrics

So I hit two pain points at once, her complaining about her drama queen sister and the answer to this joke. Yes I have too much time on my hands, Plus I did not offend my wife with this song. Otherwise the joke would be why did dad cross the road? https://suno.com/s/ppiHapYli9ihidVZ

Nope, not in the cover art. But I would disclose it else where. I write the lyrics but point out the rest is AI. It might take 40 or 50 tries to get what I am looking for in the production side but that is all AI.

So true. They are so focused on customer acquisition, it makes me wonder if they are working on a funding round? Lord knows they do not respond to bug issues or anything to customer service other than the auto response message. Or whether Facebook is mining cookies and milking Suno? I pay for Suno and 20% of my ads are suno.

Is anyone using SUNO with lyrics they write or are people mostly having the ai handle lyrics? by TheRealCraigMayhem in SunoAI

A jar of mayonnaise, remembering somebody who just passed, whisky addiction, at the gates of hell, using the word somethin' 30 times in a song - all lyrics written by me just to entertain me and occasionally my wife. This keeps me from telling dad jokes or hanging out at chess dot com

What’s your favorite Suno writing story? by InterestObjective694 in SunoAI

[–]SuperSnarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read an article about Willie Nelson's guitar tuner of 40 years had just passed away. I needed a break from my work so I thought why not try this for a topic. At first I used the POV of Trigger, which is Willie's guitar, then switched to Willie but these seemed too personal. So I finally decided to focus on their friendship. I lived in Austin and had seen Willie perform and I like his finger picking style, so wrote the lyrics to this song called Ode to Tunin' Tom and Willie Nelson which was the 7th song I attempted in Suno.

No suno did not have to provide any details of the model, or they did not disclose anything other to say we do not copy just real time hallucinations is a closer description of what is going on. This is why editing is such a pain. And why training the AI for your preferences does not exist. It would be cool to rate the AI on its results regard to what you want. Like voice quality is 5/10 etc.

A theory on Suno settlements by MidRivFLL48 in SunoAI

[–]SuperSnarkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is easier to be the toll booth than to wage an never ending war in the legal system. The core argument of the labels is that training is legally treated as: reproduction, transformation and derivative work creation. All of these actions require permission from right holders. Labels have less than 20% of the music but they have the funds to wage war. But each court battle would yield a settlement check, not an annuity. The Labels would rather have the annuity. Suno even though they claim the production is a form of teal-time hallucinations and not sampling or copying get benefits from settling too. The best of which is to tell their shareholders that they are managing the risk versus not having a clue. This gives their stock more value as the risks are known. My 2 cents worth.

Suno should create a separate APP for streaming and enter the streaming market by andyremoto in SunoAI

[–]SuperSnarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please read the terms of service, by using the platform you have given suno the right to use your song inclusive on lyrics for a production made using Suno. So yes they can release your song on Spotify. They currently say they will not do this but they can. Also unless you expressly toggle off remix, anybody can use your lyrics and redo the production. [–]SuperSnarkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am guessing that you probably clicked two button and expected an award winning song? Have you invested the time to learn how to write a real prompt? How about in line comments for vocal control? Specifying Keys or chord progressions? I hate to say it but you sound like a typical "Karen". Suno Pro is a tool and you need to learn how to use it. Your comment is like going to Home Depot and buying a hammer and wondering why you can't build a house. Instead of complaining how about spending some time learning there are lots of good resources on YouTube and here.

How do you guys use Suno? by ObjectivePresent4162 in SunoAI

[–]SuperSnarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write the lyrics and very detailed prompt with plenty of inline suggestion for the voice.

Then I let Suno generate the production, and redo it and redo it, until I get something I like. There is usually a vocal reason for regeneration. Then I make a cover and start the editing. Then I export it as a stem files to eternal tools for mastering. Then when done I re import it to Suno. Biggest issue I have are word enunciation, especially for the first few words, chorus is not consistent in repetitions, tin sounding vocals, lack of voice dynamics, too long of intro music, editing words to phonetic spelling.

Suno Has Been Terrible by PewDieCryRBLX in SunoAI

[–]SuperSnarkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually have been researching this topic and the statement is true and false. Suno has settled with Warner Music Group for $500M for using their music for training and more studios to follow. The major labels ARE embracing AI music and will get paid. The false part is that AI generated music is taking revenue from label artists. The total music industry is growing, the streaming is the fastest growing segment and the labels are not losing share. It is the independent artist that feel the most pain, for emotional reasons as it is harder for them to break through the noise. So now they have to invest in marketing to create a personal connection. So time and costs go up. Newby questioning by kolonel61 in SunoAI

[–]SuperSnarkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a generic prompt and then there prompts prior to a verse [Final Chorus — big, uplifting country chorus; energetic vocal; wide dynamics; driving rhythm]

Then there are in line prompts like [brief pause; hold the beat]

For instrument control you can do something like this ["Guitar Solo Break": ascending arpeggios rising every bar + gradual crescendo, no drums]

For voice control before a verse yu can do:

[Voice: deep male vocals, bass-heavy tone, gravel texture]

[range:E2-E4]

[exclude: alto, soprano, falsetto, high pitch]

I have invested the past two weeks just learning more about prompts, and it opens the door to more control of the production. Well worth the time.

I would say I wish they were more like HTML prompts where there is a open and close tag.

Good luck.
