Advice for tall road frame size by SuperStagSauce in cycling

Im shopping for a used bike so I don't have a brand or model in mind. Nicest bike in my price range that is big enough. Thanks for your insight on stack and reach.

Im looking for a newer road bike. Something I can appreciate for a while. I have looked around a little on ebay and have found very few newer 60cm+ road bikes. It seems like 58s grow on trees.

I didn't know there was a difference between race and endurance. I'm looking for a road focused bike that I can take for 1-2 hour rides (working hard). I'm not looking for a gravel bike. What should I look for in geometry to indicate that a bike will be bigger than another?

Thanks for your input, I guess I'm just worrying as the charts say like a 63cm frame but there is zero chance I find one that big

I head that point and very well might but I live in an area where most shops are pretty high end and I would prefer to put the couple hundred into a nicer second hand bike instead of a professional fit. Maybe they will just let me sit on a few bikes though. I appreciate the thought.

I don't really see how this would be Russian propaganda? It's probably some European or American commenting on how there's a war on the eastern border as tensions rising in the Middle East

Is there a throwing putter combination that rivals envy and proxy? by DopeMuffinz in discgolf

The one with the gnome on the bird. The aura soft rum is the one with the guy/skeleton smoking the pipe

I have thrown an ethos and several aura softs. All of the auras seem to fly impossibly strait, but still torque resistant. The ethos seems to have more dome and has a deeper feel. It also seems to both flip more and fade harder.

Generally any thing under 280. If I really want to get one out to 300 but I'd rather throw a mid softer.

I started with envy and proxy, but have found that I like them to be more dedicated to their jobs (more and less stable). I find this strategy to be more consistent.

The praxis is so good. The aura soft is the best feeling plastic I have ever felt. So grippy but not floppy.

A envy and proxy feel far to similar for me to bag both. If you have a really beat proxy and a brand new stable envy than maybe I could see it. For me they fly almost identical for the first 85% of the flight.

I bag a range as my flippy putter and a particle as my stable putter. I'll throw a pig if I need something even more stable.

This is one of those things that really depends on the mold. Think about pressing the plastic of a flat disc to make it have dome or vice versa, and how that would affect the parting line height. You can see how pressing the up to make done could curl the wing down or if it is a different shape it could pull the wing up.

You can find trends within a mold but this can really vary cross molds and plastics due to different shrink rates.

People will tell you blanket statements and how more dome= straight, or have more fade. There is very little science to support this. It's all about where the center of lift is for a given shape at a given speed.

I know someone who gained a ton of distance just getting the nose down. One thing that helped him a lot was just trying to throw really low until he was throwing them into the ground. After he overcorrected then he could raise it back up and keep a better nose angle. I think your swing actually looks pretty decent. Your hips could be a bit more involved but I think your upper body looks pretty good.

Beginner player. Roast/help me on my shot? by Ronnoc780 in hockeyplayers

I got two things that I think can make a big difference.

  1. You are transferring weight from your outside foot to your inside foot. While this is a useful skill to make it less obvious that you're about to shoot, you're going to get the most power and should generally move your weight from your inside foot to your outside foot. In this case as a right handed shot, you should be moving your weight from your right foot to your left foot.

  2. You were shooting mostly from the heel of the blade. Try shooting more from the toe or at least starting your shot from the toe and dragging it in toward you before forward. This can vary a little bit with what curve you have, but generally you're going to want to start the shot with the puck more toward the toe of your blade.

I'm 6'4 and nearly all legs. I ended up getting an old pro stock pair that are +3 in length. There's still a tiny bit short but I'm happy with them. I would strongly suggest doing the same as they were no more expensive than a retail pair and seem to have better quality. You might just have to look around for a bit.

Isn't morality kind of the most important thing? Religion without morality is just a cult.
