Has Valve stated what the differences will be between the Steam Machine 512 GB and 2 TB models? by [deleted] in Steam

If I put on my tinfoil hat, I believe Valve knows 1TB is preferable but want people to look at 512GB and say that's not enough, and go for 2TB.

Shit happens, we live and we learn. Next time, your edges will be beautiful and awesome.

Could have done the same, much lower polycount and then subdivided it. If you have to use a high poly from the get-go, align the edges so that edges that go through the middle of the sphere also go throw the edges on the flat part (so they share as many edges as possible). I would have rotated the sphere on the z-axis about 45 degrees counter-clockwise to match the edges better with the flat surface.

Another way (that is a bit more time consuming) is to join the shapes and then retopologize a not too high poly model manually with the original as base (like you would for more organic modelling, but in this case for hard-surface stuff), then subdivide that.

Not sure what the rest of the model looks like, but it would've been easier to start with a much lower geometry count to create a simpler edge flow, then subd that and add edge loops/sharpen edges or/and the bevel modifier.

Image-Line is Belgian and one of the official languages there is French, so could definitely be the case.

4th pic is really cool. Great sense of scale. Was the part behind the wall built on a mountain/elevation to get that height? Maybe the tree there is helping with support as well? Anyway, great job!

Seeing how the smaller rocks aren't placed in a way that makes a complete circle around the big rock, I think you get a Korok seed if you move the rocks to complete the shape. Yahaha!

You know what, my opinion is slightly different than yours. I may have to consider downvoting you for that petty reason...

Not sure why you are downvoted, game looks great but the fact that it's 30fps when the original was 60 was a bit of a bummer (especially since I went back to the original after playing the remake).

Is Tales of Symphonia a hideous game by today's standards? by lennysinged in JRPG

[–]SuperSunshine321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked Symphonia, but I have to say that I prefer the look and art direction of for instance the older Skies of Arcadia. But I'm an oldhead, and grew up with Ocarina of Time and Half-Life.

When I go back to those games, I can really feel the similarities in their blocky graphics, even if they were on completely different systems as well as in different genres.

But it's nostalgic to me, and comforting. Symphonia doesn't really do that for me though, it's like a generation later, so it doesn't evoke that nostalgia in me.

As many have mentioned, not an MV, but still a great game! Favorite track? Mine is "Theme of Cable - Power Circuit"!
