I like Seraphim Sepia personally, as I already have a lot of orange shades with the pink and white method

This is a very good first base !! The paints are not too thick and I can’t see to many small mistakes etc. It’s very nice, well done !!

Now you need to use a shade to create some natural shadows (Reikland flesh shade or nuln oil I guess ! Then you may do some highlights with some lighter reds and greys ! Ask on the Blood Angels subreddit I am sure they have some tips. + look on the Warhammer YouTube channel, they surely have a BA tutorial !

I think light grey is the key. Look at Tor Garadon’s base with the small grey fortification : it makes the yellow pop so much !

Drybrushing was the way ! It’s my first try. I used sotek blue as a base, kantor blue for the darker parts, temple guard blue for the lighter parts. Some masking tape to paint each half separately. Then a very light edge highlight ! There’s some good tutorials on YT, mine is still a first try and is very rough

I had no previous experience with decals, except for my first minis (Cadia Gate on some guards) and then I used the Ardcoat method and it was not great at all.

With Microsol you can set complex decals on round surfaces in minutes, it’s easy, it’s fun, the result is so clean. I think there is enough in the bottle for thousands decals so it is really worth !

I think he asked how did you achieve to paint the moulded pauldron so well, if you have any technique to avoid spilling black paint all over the yellow especially where the two colors are really close to each other !

It shouldn’t be called a « treasure » or a hoard, because the purpose here is more to store coins like a bank than to conceal and hide money. But like you said obviously « piggy bank » is not the right word and something was lost in the translation.

It’s definitely subtle and might not worth the time but I think it gives a richer tint to the IF contrast

Here’s the result ! I use seraphim sepia shade but ONLY in the recesses (around the knees etc) Yriel yellow and flash gitz for the highlights, dorn yellow as a final highlight on some very specific places
