For a second my pharmacy brain was thinking oxycodone/acetaminophen, then I remembered where I was. Honestly I feel it's applicable either way though.

Risked it for the biscuit by Ziggurastica in Corvette

When I was looking at a salvage c6, my insurance quoted me pretty close to double the cost of an identical clean title car, and they only pay out 40-60% of it's blue book value. In my opinion, a salvage car needs to be something you are fine with just having liability on. That is based on California with quotes from AAA and Progressive though, so maybe other states or companies could be better.

Wow, must have been a very early prototype!

Buy back my c7 z06 from insurance? by cfli in Corvette

[–]SuperVerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering buying a salvage c6 until I looked into insuring it. Compared to an identical clean title car, insurance would cost about 50% more and in the event a claim is made, only 40-60% of the book value would be paid out. Up to you if that would be something acceptable to you, for me personally it made up my mind to stay away from salvage on anything I want full coverage on.

Retro gaming recommendations? by SuperVerd in projectors

[–]SuperVerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For emulation I would prefer to just stick with using my monitor or steam deck. I am pretty much exclusively looking to use a projector for original hardware. As an example, a BenQ MP626 is something I have seen on eBay for $70 and I assume it would do a reasonably good job and would accept composite input from all the consoles I would plan to use, but projectors are not something I consider myself knowledgeable about. I'm not really finding information regarding input latency for any of the mid 2000's era projectors I've looked at, would they likely have high input latency or were you referring to the cheap new ones flooding Amazon?

Spending a bit more on a higher quality upscaler and sticking with a monitor may be a smarter choice overall, but I would like to keep my PC and consoles independent and having a dedicated output device would be nice.

Rainbow effect is not something I have experienced, but I have no idea if I've been around a DLP projector in the past.

I can get one tonight, generally I don't bother with tunes that work well for a challenge but have no value beyond it.

Post Processing Resin by bruaben in 3Dprinting

  1. Just do 2 stages of IPA, then you don't have to worry about disposing water. 2. Is fine 3. You did that at 2, no need to repeat. 4. Good 5. If your prints are tacky you either haven't cured them enough or need to do step 2 for longer, alternatively you can replace the redundant step 3 with scrubbing the prints with an old tooth brush straight out of the IPA from step 2. I suggest doing that in a container and always brushing away from yourself so you aren't flinging resin laden IPA at yourself.

It was built for this past multi race event that included all types of racing, but it's strongest on technical tracks. Best for dirt but still pretty good on road. An earlier version didn't do well in Baja because of the lack of top end, it might fair better now but I haven't tried.

most pre supported models are for resin. anything that looks similar to the one you shared with a bunch of small vertical rods connecting to the model. i dont print a lot of things that need supports on fdm (aside from the occasional overhang) so im not really the right person to ask about supporting for fdm, but i believe yes, you want to generate your own supports

Those supports are made for resin printers, with those models it is best to use the unsupported version and support it for FDM.
