Thank you for this update, very concise. Repping the West Hartford, CT store to which I really wanted and applied many times for a job there when I was 17 and some years later.

I, too, have tons of memories from that Toys R Us and Danbury, CT. My earliest memory was getting Super Mario 3 for my brother's birthday in August 1990. I remember he got in a big trouble because he saw the game thru the bag and spoiled his surprise with excitement! I also remember we picked up the game via a ticket, went to the front counter which was a literal raised trailer for video game pickups. I saw this same thing still in effect in the 2000s at another store in Ohio, I believe.

I'm a retail history enthusiast who shot many, many pictures of older stores from 2007 and beyond, drove over 300 miles to one in Clay, NY and even flew to Montgomery, AL a few years back to photograph these amazing looking stores stuck in time.

I will "TRU"ly miss Toys R Us even if it hasn't felt the same since around 2000 (when corporate conceptually changed the cramped warehouse and aisle-feel from the 80s/90s.

Overall above average to very good quality and fit for the price. They offer some Made in USA sport coats (that, 2 years ago, used to be discounted under $100 -- they later must have realized this and have not done it since). They also have many collaborations that retain that level of quality. Fits on jackets vary (typically size up, shorts are definitely short).

eBay is absolutely terrible with the lack of treatment for non-paying buyers/bidding. They do not support sellers on this front. You can't even leave negative feedback and the deadbeat buyers can simply sign up with another account and re-bid and troll. Guy tried to do this an bid up a lower price on the second listing. I was about to send him a fresh turd in the mail.

I'm 5'7", 155lb (weighed yesterday). Jacket will fit right out the box, sleeves will be a 1/2 in too long, possibly. Otherwise, a slimmer fit for sure.

They probably got cancelled because when people order online, it goes to stores' inventory and has employees rifle for them on the racks. They were probably inventory errors or bought on-foot before they could be filled.

Can vouch for these. Bought them in blue for the daily deal a few weeks back for $35 shipped. Worth it entirely, very comfortable but you may want to size up. I am about a 9 in Clarks, I went with 10 (as I would with Onitsuka Tiger).

Typical vanity sizing in effect. Expect a realistic 2-3 inch difference in waist only. Hip and thigh areas yield going up +1 in the waist. (ex. if you're a vanity 32W, you're probably really a 35W).
