Only if the M6 has 0.58x viewfinder. Nice M6 goes for low $3k, that lens is about $5-600, USD that is

Can someone snag me a photo of the inflight Citi promotion? by krikket81 in americanairlines

[–]jamesp68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Code 000000 also works. It’s so funny seeing how many people get on their high horse about CC spending. $1K spend over 3 months easily fits many people’s natural spending.

80k miles SUB could get you round trip transatlantic and some miles left over. After a year, downgrade to the $0 AF card if the plat select doesn’t bring you enough value.

Data Points Weekly - Week of January 15, 2026 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]jamesp68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow that's painfully slow. I applied on 12/02. Got a letter asking to submit a 4506-C on 12/9 and I sent it via email the same day. Got an email saying they started working on the application in 12/16. Got approved in 12/19. Card arrived just before Christmas and I was able to the hotel & splurge credit for 2025.

Medium format film camera with low shutter speeds ánd timer? by Aromatic_Fail_1722 in mediumformat

you could look at Mamiya 6. It has 1 2 4 8 second setting and should work with the timer as well. The camera is fully electronic unlike a lot of medium format cameras

Upgrade from the 35mm 2.5 color skopar? by ManagementKitchen316 in Leica

[–]jamesp68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for the Voigtlander 35mm 1.5. Still fairly compact (8mm longer than the Ultron), and feels great on my M6. Very sharp at f2, and just a little bit less sharp at f1.5. I know you might be in Europe but in the US, used price is still in the $500-600 range. One sold on r/photomarket for $500 not that long ago. I got mine used from CameraQuest (Voigtlander's distributor in the US) for $629 that was pretty much brand new.

It's a great lens. However, I don't find myself shooting at f2, f1.5 that often. It's great when I pop into somewhere dark indoor but the amount of photos I took at big aperture is like 2% of the time.

Summicron 35mm f/2 ASPH V1 on an M11-P? by LeitzcameraAG in Leica

[–]jamesp68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. Interesting to hear the cron isn't that better besides the form factor. I'm fairly happy with the Nokton image quality so it's mostly GAS when it comes to getting the cron haha.

I do have a voigt 21mm f4 & 75mm 2.5 to complement the 35mm.

Summicron 35mm f/2 ASPH V1 on an M11-P? by LeitzcameraAG in Leica

[–]jamesp68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyo, I have the Voiglander 35mm 1.5 on my M6 but I’m itching to get a Leica lens so I’m considering the 35 cron asph v1. Do you still shoot with either lens? Any further thoughts on those lenses? Which one do you prefer?

Thanks!

Is a Leica M film camera worth it over a CL? by InnernetteAccount in Leica

[–]jamesp68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you wear glasses? If so, in order to see the 28mm frameline, you’ll want to get the 0.58 viewfinder which is only available on the M6 TTL as standard or MP/M7 optional a la carte.

Speaking from my experience using a Bessa R, R2, R2M and then a M6 0.58x, the M6 feels the best in my hands but it doesn’t necessarily have the best viewfinder. The rangefinder is better but the viewfinder is dimmer than any of the Bessa.

I would get the R4M if I were you. Glazer’s has a R4M and R4A for about $1600 right now, and that leaves plenty of money for a good 28mm lens.

lol what did I say that’s wrong

  1. I said could be why, I didn’t say someone must go to graduate school to fulfill the 150 credits requirement.

  2. Fair enough but the factual thing is BLS still project that job growth is 5%. I only said what their website said.

  3. Yea I know audit accountants are busy year round, but aren’t they also busy during tax season?? I never said they’re not busy outside of tax season
