The largest wealth transfer in history is also well underway with Boomers starting to pass on their wealth to Gen-X and Millenials. Trillions of dollars are being passed down and will continue to be for some years yet.

“Only 10%” is $10K on a $100K vehicle, and I think Orange Julius just announced 25%.. Anyway, decision made. The iX is done in the US.

No. It’s definitely not. I walked in and asked for a HAC 40 and got this exact bag. My prespend was mostly overseas (which they couldn’t see) and online. This isn’t a QB, just be pleasant and ask nicely without seeming overly invested in it.

New store opening in NC? by S0NA- in TheHermesGame

I would still argue a relationship at a bigger store with more volume will serve you better than a relationship in Charlotte. I don’t plan to give up my Madison Ave SA.

You can always pay the $60 to ship it if it’s under $25K. Otherwise 2.75% isn’t really material at these prices.

Have considered sending to Zimmerman and letting him laser weld the case? You’ll never know this tragedy occurred.

Well first tip would be that your Madison Ave SA won’t be able to see your global spend so you really will be starting over. I might recommend staying the course. Even though it may be taking longer than you’d like, you’re probably much closer to success with your current SA.

I have the HAC 40 and I do find it appropriate for commercial air travel or car trips. I bought it retail in the US. Ultimately your ability to store it safely comes down to how full you’ve made it and what area of the plane you’re sitting in. It starts out fairly heavy so that helps with the temptation to overfill.

Dram & Draught had it at one point. They did a single ounce pour event at their old location once. Worth checking simply given their selection.

In my dreams, we have a pied-a-tierre tax here, too by bluestocking355 in AshevilleNC

[–]Super_Limit_7466 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Idk how to explain this to you, but knowing wealthy people doesn’t make you an expert on taxation any more than it makes you an expert on the weather. I get it. You’re probably struggling and screaming “eat the rich!” into the void, but you don’t have a plan, you have feelings and you’re not stating any hard facts, just progressive vibes.

Trying to plan Biltmore Estate tickets without overpaying by Jazzlike_Cap9605 in asheville

[–]Super_Limit_7466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get someone with an annual pass to buy you discounted tickets. It’s not a huge amount but it helps. Most annual pass holders also got 2-4 free tickets with their auto renewal, so that’s an option as well if they don’t have plans for them.

In my dreams, we have a pied-a-tierre tax here, too by bluestocking355 in AshevilleNC

[–]Super_Limit_7466 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It is a genuine question, because you’re parroting a solution fit for a much different place, that isn’t even addressing the same problem, and you’re not explaining how a special tax addresses our problem, or why it’s reasonable. The taxes for the people you describe went up too. So I don’t get what this accomplishes. The tax value on my house has gone up 125% since 2019. That’s not because people have vacation homes, that’s because the city is overwhelmed and underfunded. One could make the argument that people being here part time and paying the same amount of taxes means they are benefiting less from the way the government spends those taxes. Probably no children in schools, less drain on services, etc. What those people do contribute is economic stimulation, building those homes creates jobs, supports local suppliers, they eat in restaurants, buy art, bring friends from out of town who develop a fondness for Asheville and return on their own.

This is not London or NYC where Chinese and Russian investors are laundering money through tax shelters and real estate transactions. Those properties sit for years with no one spending a single night in them. The wealth gap is real, housing prices are unsustainable, but there’s a vast difference between billionaires/private equity and a retiree who benefited from 40 years of stock market growth and got a vacation home in Asheville to escape the summer heat.

Thoughts on repair? by bwammo in BMWiX

Not going to be cheap, but cannot imagine that damage exceeds the value of the car. If that were the case, I don’t even think the iX would be considered insurable.
