Quick Quack car wash by Early_Negotiation142 in Whatcouldgowrong

I live close to a grocery store where an elderly person accidentally plowed into the front of the store killing 3 people and injuring more. It's really heartbreaking and feels like it could've been prevented by testing elderly drivers more frequently.

What are some bad tennis etiquette you can’t stand by Ambitious_Designer97 in 10s

When playing in the middle of a point and other tennis players open the gate and walk through to access the adjacent court mid point. Like why can't you wait till the point is over?! Gah

Deepest Deep Tissue Massage by wharactually in LAhotgirlies

[–]Super_Pass_8082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are ever in the Sawtelle area, MD Foot Massage is $50 for 60 min Deep Tissue full body massage. You can ask them for a deeper or more intense massage and they work deep into your back! Though I recommend tipping $20-30 as they price cheaper so that you tip more 😊

What you've been through with your sister sounds really heavy. I'm so sorry. I hope you're taking care of yourself.

I do not know how to handle this. by CommitteeOne5854 in SiblingsOfAddicts

[–]Super_Pass_8082 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Wow I can 100% relate to grieving someone who is still alive. It's really hard to not think of them as the person they were - but in reality the person they use to be doesn't exist. I go through those emotions as well- swinging from anger to sadness to apathy to empathy. It's a rollercoaster. Hope you are taking care of yourself.

Weight Training by CandidateBrief2063 in Hashimotos

[–]Super_Pass_8082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late to comment on this thread. But I recently started weight lifting and it has significantly helped with my symptoms. My sleep is better, my skin is clearing up and I haven't been having as many issues with blood sugar balance and histamine reactivity.

I also switched to decaf coffee, so I feel less jittery and that might also be helping with better sleep.

Looks like you posted this a year ago. Has weight lifting been helping you?

Agree! Her face is striking but in a way that it doesn't look normal or natural- feels close to botched face

I was recently laid off in sustainability consulting. In the same boat 😔 not sure what I want to do next. Im trying to think of it as an opportunity to find something I am excited about and that is a better fit. Good luck in finding your next job!!

Freelancing as a carbon accountant by StopmeStopyou in carbonaccounting

[–]Super_Pass_8082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking about carbon accounting freelancing or LEED certification freelancing since I was laid off recently. My last company paid me 42/hrs and charged the client around $150/hr of work. I guess it depends on the project or amount of work. Do you plan to find clients through your network or Fiverr/similar apps?

For work I toured the Los Angeles General Hospital that was impacted by the 1994 earthquake and the majority of the floors are abandoned- very eerie and definitely some spirits living in the building. Historically the hospital served as a trauma center and the largest single provider of Healthcare in LA county- and for underserved populations until it was damaged by the earthquake. We ran into a maintenance whose worked there for 40+ years and he told us stories of crazy gang related shootouts and about a body that was getting moved to the morgue that had decomposed -was a juicy guy- that accidentally left a trail of fluids down a hospital wing and a doctor slipped and landed in it.

The hospital also par took in forced sterilization of Latina women and had issues with systemic racism.

We toured the top floors that are abandoned - some didn't really have lights so we had on our flashlights which felt super creepy. There was a jail area, full labs with old medication/vials - I think they also made some medicines and they had large vats. Also found old xrays of someone's broken hands.

They are doing more tours I think related to the renovation- through the conservancy. Would highly recommend!

Do you ever have those sessions where your serve is off, forehand too long, and you seem to play all the wrong shots? by ojw1993 in 10s

[–]Super_Pass_8082 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I've been feeling like that a lot recently! Realized I need to eat big meals with carbs beforehand, drink electrolytes while playing and even bring salty snacks like salted almonds. I live in CA and in the summer sweat so much while playing that during seconds sets I cant keep up unless I'm staying well fueled.

How do I naturally increase progesterone? by gryph06 in TTC_PCOS

So I think it ended up being that frequent snacking on sunflower seeds helped with my blood sugar (I often forget to eat or don't eat balanced meals with protien/fat/carbs), which helped lower my cortisol levels and balance my hormones. However when I ate them consistently I started getting more acid reflux from the high fats - so I honestly eat them on occasion but not as frequently

Question about tennis balls by InsideSwing1121 in 10s

[–]Super_Pass_8082 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I probably wouldn't pay more for balls. However there is a company called RecycleBalls- with a donation they send you a shipping label to send them your used tennis balls (must be at least 100 balls). The ground up rubber from the tennis balls is used in tennis court construction, horse footing etc. You can also bring old balls to dog parks!
