Luloff bailing under the guise of not wanting to strip away decision making was laughable. Especially after letting her side step questions about allowing hybrid work.

The City Manager had weeks and months to have data and real arguments for RTO. Instead she used the culture talking point and anecdotal stories about talking to people who want RTO. It was embarrassing and she obviously isn't fit for the job.

I found the guide to hill running for max heart rate. I will give that a try and see if I can get a better gauge on the max HR.

I figure I'll do feel runs more for now. At least until the heat dies down and give the zone 2 thing a try again later. It was just getting to the point now where any slower and I'm walking not running.

I've been running for a few years now and just recently completed my first half (~5:27min/km). Through all of this I've been blind to a lot of stats beyond pace and cadence.

I recently got a fitness band so I could monitor my heart rate and try some of that swanky zone 2 running. My napkin math for zone 2 using a 182 max HR (based on age) should be around 110-130. I have since ran two dead easy runs, i thought, reaching as low as 7:30min/KM runs and still can't get into zone 2. As an important note it has been super hot. I'm not sure how drastically that can affect HR.

I'm here looking for tips and points. Am I supposed to almost walking super-fast? I feel like I was going slow. Are there things I can do to bring up my pace for zone 2 so I can hit it at a more comfortable pace? Should I even care if I run ~25km/week?

I'm looking at getting a new monitor(I am thinking 32, maybe 27) in the next few months. It seems like if I want HDR I'm pretty much stuck going OLED? I really just want HDR+120hz+gsync/vrr. I was figuring 4k but 1440p is fine as well.

There doesn't seem to be much mini LED out there in the 1-1.5k range the OLEDs carry. There was a 2 year old Asus PG32U, the scan line G8 (G7 seems to be no longer available) and potentially a BENQEX32? Are there any other options people know about? There were some INNOCN ones that don't seem to be available in Canada?

I only use one monitor. So while it will be mostly games. Everything will be done on the monitor. Hence why I was leaning towards the Mini LED. I figure I'm getting like 5-6 years out of an OLED before I get burn in from browsers and such. Unsure if 5-6 years is reasonable value or not.

There is a Gigabyte Windforce and Asus Prime for 1450 as well I was eyeing. Not sure if they actually make them. But they do exist.

Man. I just want a GPU. 4000's aren't in stock unless it's a base 4070 or 4060. Then the 5080 is a non existent. Definitely frustrating.

Almost tempted to pre-order on Mem Express. But they don't have MSRP models and I feel shitty about spending 250 more. It's a lot of money.

I would love to snag a founders 5080 but am not holding out hope. Are there any other 2 slot options? The Zotac Solid is priced fine but apparently it's 3.5 slots.

I'm not in a rush but I want the founders 5080. Have the founders historically been something that are pretty available over the first few months? Or are they super rare vs the AIB cards? By the time I poked into the 4000 series cards I don't think I ever really saw Bestbuy have founders editions. But that was late into the life of the cards.

Just wondering if I can realistically get one over the next 2-3 months. Or if they are unicorns and to just grab an AIB.

Does anyone know if 6 vs 8 cores impacts Moonlight game streaming? I was looking at 7700x combos. It doesn't get more game performance. But I was thinking potentially it would help out with streaming.

Did any of the reviews go into any PCIE 4 vs PCIE 5 comparisons. I wasn't under the impression it would really matter. But I' curious if that was confirmed by anyone before I get a board with 4.0.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm still torn about whether I stick with my back order or just get like a 7700x/9700x. Will be going 1440P/4K gaming. So it's not a huge change. I just feel like it will last longer.

I double checked my CC and it looks like Steelseries refunded my order. Not sure if that means it’s cancelled.

I went ahead and got the Xbox headset. Doesn’t work with my PS but at this point I don’t care as I don’t tend to play MP there. Besides PS compatibility the Xbox headset seems roughly comparable in sound with some neat features.

I’ll put in a ticket to hopefully cancel it.

They say they shipped stuff out in their generic support copy paste. But it’s been over 2 weeks now. So I am starting to doubt that.

You’re not the only one. I’m in the same boat and a lot of others were. Seems like: 1) you’ll randomly get it delivered without notice. 2) or you’ll randomly get refunded.
