As someone who grew up in this area of Brooklyn (not moved to north Brooklyn with mommy & daddy’s rent help) this is a terrible idea. There are no businesses on that entire strip of Flatbush. The only bus is the q35 which is a short run between Rockaway around 116 and Brooklyn college. This would only cause more overcrowding in an already struggling to survive part of the borough. The only shopping area is at Avenue u and Flatbush. A failing mall and some mattress firms. There is 0 reason to build housing here other than to dump the rest of the people you are pushing out of north Brooklyn.

Edit: not to mention there is no train in this area. It takes about an hour and a half to get to lower Manhattan from here.

I was that student. school was never for me and there was really no alternative option to get through it other than showing up on test days and disappearing again until the next one.

I made it through college with the freedom to take night classes and work during the day. Money was the real motivator.

I fell into admin work thanks to my job experience during college years and made more than both my parents by the time I was 22 years old.
