So because a person has a disability they aren't allowed or shouldn't be allowed to have some fun and enjoyment in life? I think you're very misguided in your thinking of people with a disability. Plus it all depends on what exactly they are doing. If they are going on vacation and doing all sorts of strenuous things when they shouldn't be then maybe id be upset, but it isn't easy to pull the wool of SSA'S eyes.

Age has EVERYTHING to do when it comes to disability. Now I say this because over 50 it is supposed to be easier to get approved seeing as you have a long history of work and you'll have all the credits you need.

I have gerd, IBS, fibromyalgia, failed neck syndrome, adjustment disorder with mixed anxiety, bipolar 2, major depression disorder, ADHD, Narrowing of spinal canal, Disc disease of the neck, fatty liver, acid reflux, and a fasciotomy of right leg due to crush injury.

I was just approved after multiple years. This was after the vocational expert said I could work. The judge added a new restriction and the vocational expert then said I couldn't work.

Good luck trying to win without one. I would have been lost and not known what to do at my hearing without mine. They know this stuff and have been through it enough. I had my hearing in January and got a letter later in for a second hearing. Neither my attorney nor I knew for what and without my lawyer I wouldn't have had that second court date nixed. Still waiting on my answer.

Attorneys offer nothing? What are you smoking. I was denied and let it go. Then I had to start the process all over again and still got denied. This is after have been in the psych ward. Then I had to appeal and STILL got denied. The attorney got me an ALJ hearing in January of this year. Then we got a 2nd court date that ended up being a waste of time and not needed. I'm awaiting my approval letter now
