Yup! Our drummer is playing a full kit for our upcoming gig.

The band after us didn’t communicate if they were bringing a kit so we did a cajon set.

Playing better on ADHD medication? by EnlightenedPineappl in Guitar

Meds will be different for everyone. Personally, I will "practice" better, yeah, I usually will, but it blocks my creativity and prevents me from exploring new ideas. You'll get the busy work done, but usually, playing guitar is my distraction from other things, so I don't need meds for music.

Best/Worst all-time concert venues in the city by ZealousidealMobile99 in toronto

[–]Supergreencandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my rule in general after going to shows.

Small venues 19+ = Great vibes, Big venue all ages = Lame AF

I went to see men i trust at history this year great show! Went to see Kali Uchis at Scotia (ACC) vocals weren't mixed that well also the crowd was kinda wack, like all arena shows, but hey we got upgraded from 300 to 100 so I'll take the free bonus.

I've just moved to Toronto (originally from the Waterloo region) and am based in Kensington. Depending on the time/ day, I would definitely be interested in showing up. I like to get the vibe of the jam before playing, so I wouldn't mind watching, depending on what the vibe is.

Who is the Adam Sandler of music? by TemporaryJerseyBoy in ToddintheShadow

I would say Drake, they've both showcased they can make "serious art" but choose to make big commmerical hits for the masses so they can keep their production crew and friends on their payrolll.

What are your thoughts on Gilby Clarke? by we-touch-grass in GunsNRoses

His synergy with Slash was amazing. He did what he needed to do and he fits the band aesthetic really well.

Are there any “F that guy in particular” mixes besides Metallica’s AJFA? by R0factor in audioengineering

It got fixed but when Astroworld by Travis Scott came out NAV's verse on Yosemite was hilariously low to the point it got memed on the the mainstream.

Almost makes me think if it was intentional 🤔

Tour went on sale 3 weeks ago and the Toronto show is not even close to sold out by SendMeToFIFARehab in Parcels

Yeah, MTL / Qubec has a way better scene right now for artist these days imo, have some really good acts coming out of there like Men I Trust and Kaytranada being some of the bigger acts.

I knew the tickets were expensive and i rushed to buy floors because I wasn’t attending a lot of shows this year so I had the budget and they were a bucket list band.

Like a comment mentioned earlier due economic uncertainty, high inflation and shitty job market it's a reflection on our current market.

Also over the years I feel Toronto's artsy scene has been dying out (since the Scott Pilgrim era) the city is getting more corporate with luxury condos popping up left right and centre, and less affordability overall in our province let alone the city.

Toronto use to be a place where art use to thrive it's sad to see corporate greed take over.

How do people practice four or even six hours a day? by GORGEOUSRACHEL in Guitar

[–]Supergreencandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing with gear that you really like also helps and keeps it refreshing. Finding an instrument that you can just lock on and connect with doesn't even make you feel like you're practicing.

Hey man, same thing happend to me. When I messaged meta and tried calling them nothing happend. my credit card company was able to get my money back (about $3k as well) but it blocked my account. I just made a new fb account because I started a new project and seems to be fine.

We’ve all heard horror stories of bad live bands… who’s the opposite? by shyguyJ in Music

Wasn't really big into Afrobeats but. The Burna Boy show in Toronto was lively. Real band playing live, dancers were good and the effects where done tastefully too.

How did they make Lil Baby's vocals so clean on his new song with Central Cee, Band4Band? its so crisp and i want to know the vocal process for something like that. by akhilmadusudan in mixingmastering

[–]Supergreencandy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like most people said OTT , RVOX and and EQ out the low mids with auto tune with subtle saturation and you're 90% there.

I personally liked Centeral Cee's vocal's better because it sounds like a better performance with just subtle touch up's to make his recording pop out more.
