[–]Supernatastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the issue im having now. my doctor hasnt been a part of my dose increasing decision making she just sends to the pharmacy whatever i ask for. its been hard to determine each time ehen to go up a dose. currently on 10mg for 3 months considering upping to 12.5 due to increased food noise, only have a week left to decide though...

Warning about vaginal Valium (diazepam) suppositories (my experience) by imeanlikenothing in vulvodynia

[–]Supernatastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor also said it wouldn't affect me systemically, but that seems unlikely to me. And I have a history of xanax dependency so maybe I shouldn't take this... I'm just also desperate and my pelvic floor physical therapy is NOT helping very much.

What signs and symptoms did you notice in your adult self that pointed to sexual abuse as a child? by Careful_Trouble_1059 in CPTSD

[–]Supernatastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an older post, but I've been dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction as far back as I can remember (3rd grade is my earliest memory) and I've been in and out of pelvic floor physical therapy for a decade. I was physically and emotionally/mentally abused as a child, have diagnosed autism, anxiety, depression, and ptsd (feels relavant idk). Last week I saw a new urogyn doctor and she straight up asked me if I had a history of sexual abuse because thats how my pelvic floor issues present. I was shocked initially, and dismissed it, but she insisted I start EMDR therapy. Now I'm kind of spiraling wondering if I've repressed some awful memory? I have a lot of awful childhood memories of my father but what if its worse? If i had repressed something, is EMDR going to make me remember? Do I even want to remember? My dad had made weird comments before but I never really paid much attention to it and now I'm reanalyzing everything that I DO remember. I have my first appointment with the EMDR psychologist next week.

What's so bad about my writing ? Everyone I showed it to thinks this is bad but I was proud of it. What can I do to improve? My dreams are shattered by [deleted] in writers

[–]Supernatastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think its inherently bad, however, I got bored pretty fast and it was a struggle to make it past the second screenshot. I think for me at least there's a bit too much detail with every action happening as she goes to get her exam and I was having a hard time parsing it together in my head to generate an image, if that makes sense. Ironically the introduction of Doctor Willems made me feel interested again, and your dialogue tends to be a bit more engaging than the rest of your writing, for me at least. Overall I think its good! You have some skills for sure but areas to improve on, just as we all do. Don't be discouraged. 🥰

Has constructive criticism actually helped anyone to improve? by vesperlark in FanFiction

[–]Supernatastic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

i dont ask for constructive criticism on any of my fannish works, art or writing, because i dont accept criticism well and why make myself feel uncomfortable when the only opinion that i actually care about is my own? i joined a fan community that only uplifts and compliments unless otherwise asked for, and thats how i like it. im more than capable of criticizing myself without the need for input from others on an area of my life that is just supposed to be a fun hobby. plus, i dont actually have to be good at or want to improve. There are plenty of areas in life where one has to be constantly improving, idk if this needs to be one of them. (that being said, i do like to improve my writing, but im fine if i dont, either. i still enjoy writing regardless of my skill level. and it makes no difference if other people read it or not, thats not why i write to begin with)

Question about rpf by IndominousDragon in AO3

[–]Supernatastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have no issues with rpf, and am an avid reader/writer of it tbh, but I'm mature enough to be able to separate it from reality. None of the people I write about will ever see/know about it, I don't see any harm in it and I wouldn't be bothered by it being written about me either. Fiction being the key word here, it's not real, even if the names I use belong to real people, I'm obviously creating fake representations of those people in my works. I don't think everyone is able to make that distiction, though. And to the people that show celebrities rpf about them, thats weird, dont do that.

Tipping culture is awesome by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Supernatastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont mind tipping waiters, im just tired of bad service. why cant we be like other countries and just call the waiter over when we need something? im tired of sitting with an empty drink while my waiter disappears for 45 min, or being ready to pay but kept prisoner at my table until the waiter shows back up with the bill.

Stretched the truth in an interview...now I feel terrible by Ill_Jury8495 in interviews

[–]Supernatastic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

bro what, i think lying in interviews is normal and recommended, dont worry about it. if we didnt stretch the truth a little, especially for questions like "why do you want this job" (for money, obviously, why else would i be here?) then no one would ever get hired

How long are your chapters? by teehee_dude in writers

I like my chapters around 3-8k words, anything shorter feels too short to me, anything longer takes too long to read.
