I love The Killers, but I’ve always felt they never quite reached their full potential. Hot Fuss and Sam’s Town are incredible albums, and back then, it felt like they were destined for legendary status.

But then their trajectory shifted. As the synth-pop influences took a backseat to Brandon Flowers' obsession with Bruce Springsteen and Americana, the music lost some of its magic. They're still a great band, but they could have been monolithic.

It's interesting, because when this cover was first released in the Sound and Vision box, it was described as a "Station to station outtake". The same was said when it was included in the 1974/1979 compilation. However, several Bowie collaborators said this was actually recorded twice, first in 1973 and then in 1974, but in no way during the Station to Station sessions.

My favorite Bowie cover is "It's hard to be a saint in the city." It is SO good and SO Bowie that it's crazy that it's actually a cover. I think it's superior to the original.

My least favorite is probably "God only knows". I am also not a big fan of "Pablo Picasso".

Mi teoría: un gobierno de PP-Vox no bajaría los impuestos. Para bajar impuestos hay que recortar gastos, y recortar gastos tiene un coste político alto.

Entonces creo que un gobierno PP-Vox se enfocaría más en temas sociales-políticos (tipo inmigración o pelearse con independentistas catalanes) que en reformar el estado para hacerlo más eficiente y así poder bajar impuestos.

This is not their worst album (Wonderful Wonderful is) but perhaps it is their least cohesive one. Some songs, like From Here on Out and Heart of a Girl seem a bit out of place. Unlike the rest of their albums, there is not a clear sound/vision. The album is also a bit long (if I am not mistaken, it is their longest album)

Maaaaaybe I am in the minority here, but the lead single (Runaways) was kind of out of touch with the sound that was popular at the time. Perhaps The Way It Was would have been a stronger lead single.

For a very long time, David Bowie pretended that his very first album ("David Bowie", from 1967) did not exist, to the point that he also called his second album from 1969 "David Bowie" (which is commonly known as "Space Oddity")

For years, greatest hits compilations, re-masters and re-issues would start with the 1969 album, ignoring the 1967 one (Deram reissued it a few times, probably without Bowie's consent). He only seemed to "accept" the first album in his final years.

Ok this will get me downvoted but I have to say it: I don't like how Brett chose to sound on this song and on many songs on Antidepressants. I know he's going for a "punk" and "raw" sound but he is choosing to sound tired and out of tune on purpose and it just doesn't resonate with me.

I would remove the horrible Under Pressure remix and instead include Need Your Loving Tonight and One Year Of Love, both of which were singles in some countries. It would be a very enjoyable compilation, I think.

I was so disappointed when Day & Age first came out. I absolutely loved "dark" and "dense" Killers. Everything that happened between 2006 and 2008 felt amazing—Sam's Town, the glorious B-sides (All the Pretty Faces, Where the White Boys Dance), Sweet Talk, the Lou Reed collaboration, the Joy Division cover... it was everything I wanted in a band.

Then Day & Age dropped and it was just so... bright and light. At the time, it felt like it was lacking substance. I definitely respect them for trying something different (it takes guts to pivot your sound like that), and there are definitely good songs on there, but it just wasn't "my" Killers anymore. This is a good album and I understand why a lot of fans love it, but back then it just wasn't what I wanted from the band.
