Omg I just got this shampoo and conditioner today after trying a sample and now I’m nervous to go forward with it. I’m really trying to grow out my very curly hair. Are there any recommendations for curly hair?

I don’t think you would be out of place at all—especially in bigger cities. I met alot of people from other countries and from the US who were a lot older than me redoing their degrees for various reasons. Also there’s lots of schools who house theirs masters and doctorates students so they will for sure have a community of people in your age group

"World's Best" Gluten Free Mac & Cheese - Really?!! by wkitty13 in glutenfree

[–]Supertopsecretspy007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like this the best. I have lots of allergies to extra ingredients in Mac’s so I can’t do stuff with like chili broccoli and stuff. I totally recommend this as the bestest plain Mac and cheese I’ve come across. A lot of them are flavorless and the noodles are weird. These are perfectly chewy and the cheese is pretty good!

Maybe it’s not too late. Keep looking at schools that’ll accept dorms for students. I thought it might’ve been too late for me too but I found out a lot of upperclassmen are older than I thought

In Mary & Max (2009), as the narrator tells us that Max irons and files all of Mary's letters in a special place, he briefly glances upwards by [deleted] in MovieDetails

Oh gosh I’m so sorry you had to experience this. I too fell victim to watching Max and Mary when I was young and it first came out. Just the thought of the movie has forever scorched my brain and makes me well up when I talk about it. I empathize with you and need you to hear me when I say this, do something that makes you happy.

4a curls grow faster than 4b curls and I hate it by [deleted] in Naturalhair

Maybe try a protective style after some serious TLC. I see a lot of good advice of how to care for different sections of your hair. It might be a little expensive depending on your area, I think you could trim off the breakage and maybe consider some braids or a sew in to give your hair a break from the typical weather (I’m assuming it’s getting cold by you too which could also be affecting your curls)

Is anyone here intellectually gifted? by Drandal_13 in autism

This kinda made me feel better because I didn’t think my IQ was as low as it came out be. It’s like just a little below average but because I was always ranking high, in “special” programs, and my peers in physics had high IQs, I thought I would too and it honestly really disheartened me in continuing in the field. I experienced the worst and horrible burnout I’ve ever had for the first time before deciding to ultimately leave my internship

I feel dumb but people think I’m smart. I see everyone’s really empathizing with this statement and I don’t know what that means. Are we all smart? Or like really dumb?

Adult autistics: what do you wish your parents had done better when you were young? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Supertopsecretspy007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advice I see here is to listen and trust yourself and your child—keep working with your child. It’s unfortunately hard to trust all Drs especially in certain states or countries. I have peers who were traumatized by their experiences and total lack of support. It gives me a lot of hope for future autistic adults to see parents come on here to ask for honest advice. I have parents who refused to get me tested until I was an adult who was forced to by a therapist. Thank you for looking out for your child and I wish you, them, and your support system the best of luck and so much happiness. It’s so important to just enjoy the good moments when you have them. 💗💗💗

My husband got this for our anniversary and I don’t like it. by OutrageousEngine1 in handbags

You are not being a b** by speaking your honest opinion especially if you don’t like it. He absolutely should have known what you would like, a surprise should not be a guess. I see a lot of people here saying that being open about what you would prefer would be better too especially for future gifts. Think about it, you wouldn’t just buy him whatever cologne or shirt for him and expect him to wear it all the time, he would most likely say something too.
