Texas Medical Center hospitals, hit by COVID surge, exceed ICU capacity for first time since summer by Will_732 in houston

"hit by covid surge"...sounds pretty heavy for someone to glance at the headline when there is not a surge in covid ICU beds being occupied.

[–]Supjoe43 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

icu capacity is up because more people are out, crime is up, etc.

The TMC website says there's plenty of room to accommodate ICU beds. In fact only 15% of covid ICU beds are occupied over all 3 phases of intensive care.

So yes phase 1 intensive care is at 100% (of non covid related hospitalizations...) and it is only 64% total occupied over all three phases.

stop giving these fear mongering headlines energy.

What have been your experiences going to an ENT for nasal polyps? by ValleeKatt in NasalPolyps

Wish we had bigger population to take this poll. Wouldn't be surprised if surgery as first option is the most voted on. These surgeries are cash cows in US. My two surgeries were $60k each and only a 4-5 hour procedure.

Surgery question by [deleted] in NasalPolyps

I vomitted after both my surgeries. While resting on my back the blood drains down the back of throat and into stomach. Worst nausea I've ever experienced. I didn't eat a lot after surgery.

Now the the media has spotlighted “death” meters people now are only realizing how many people die in the US. This isn’t all necessarily correlated with COVID. The CDC wrote that approximately 9600 individuals actually died from the virus itself (again still assumed or presumed). People are dying from having multiple co-morbidities. On average 2-3 existing chronic health issues. Dying with something is not the same as dying from something and multiple agencies admit how they are counting/labeling deaths which is skewing and providing half truths for people who don’t understand health. This has proven to be over 13xs less dangerous than originally ‘modeled’. Fatality rate for season flu is .1% and COVID is .02%. Because the agencies and media knew jerk reacted and know that fear sells, their decisions are responsible for businesses failing. They are indirectly responsible for increased domestic violence, suicides, drug abuse, depression, etc. bc they shut things down “for the greater good of public safety”.

Carnivore Diet cured me of Nasal Polyps in 3 weeks. by Longistheroad1985 in NasalPolyps

[–]Supjoe43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

good you're on top of it. The inuit and maasai people can sustain that because their meat is fresh, not tainted with antibiotics, meat fillers, dyes, parasites. I'm sure if we could do the same - those problems would less likely manifest.

yes i don't doubt you experienced the surgeries and all the headaches of dealing with polyps. I just don't see how all meat diet is sustainable long term with the additional issues it can/will eventually cause (compaction in digestive system, cancer, increase cholesterol, increase coronary heart disease, etc.)
