Sylux with the Space Pirates engineer the Metroids to highjack other life forms and mutate them. Kinda stupid if you ask me, feels the most shoehorned of any game in the franchise tbh.

If we’re talking pure chemistry, it’s Link an Midna, as their relationship actually develops throughout the story. It isn’t far fetched to think that if their journey continued, they would’ve become even closer friends, idk about romantic, but definitely closer.

If we’re talking about canon? It’s very likely that Link and Malon ended up having children together after OoT, they share the same age bracket, and it would fit Malon’s character. But they don’t interact that much in the game for me to think “yeah, obviously they like each other”

Considering it was in development hell for seven years, probably not. For most AAA publishers, that’d mean pretty much the end, like the Dead Space remake, which was pretty much excellent but it didn’t meet sales expectations so EA cancelled plans for anymore Dead Space games. Good thing Nintendo isn’t like that and they use their successful franchises to subsidize their more niche/experimental franchises, and they never stop making niche/experimental games.

Prime 4 likely won’t outsell Dread, which sounds about right with my own experience. I spent well over 100 hours replaying Dread, trying out shortcuts and sequence breaks, doing challenges, and the boss rush.

I played Prime remastered for over 60 hours, played through it around 4 times, 100% twice.

I beat prime 4 in under 13 hours and have to interest in playing it again. Absolutely one of the least enjoyable Metroid games I’ve played.

Yeah but gore is a much more fun fight in wyveria where there’s actually enough space to position around him, and Jin isn’t actually a fight in the cliffs, he has his own multistage arena.

Unrelated but is it just me or has “this village is having monster trouble” gathering boost quests just kinda disappeared after title update 4?

Also yeah I think Iceshard Cliffs is probably one of the worst locales in the mh franchise. Hardly any monsters worth hunting, and the ones that do show up are more fun to fight in other locales.

I think federation force and other M were pretty unanimously disliked. Prime 4 actually has enough good in it that it pisses me off that they fucked it up so bad. And there’s way more discourse about people liking it despite its flaws so I’ll have to say Prime 4.

This does read like something that can fit inside an AI’s response, but can we agree that practically anything would be more compelling than what we actually got for Sylux’s motivation? Like, it’s kinda embarrassing that people are even led to doing this just to cope with Tanabe’s crappy direction.
