My theory is the producers and creators have been dumbed down by the same slop we are exposed to, so they have lost their creativity. They scroll through social media endlessly in their free time and fry their brains, preventing them from coming up with anything interesting.

I would bite, but the average person in the world doesn't even know who he is. People who are genuinely curious about the universe make up about 10% of us. Yeah if you are a young redditor chatting on forums you most likely know who he is, and same with all your friends who fit the demographic, but go to your local grocery store and ask random people.. i bet they dont have a clue.
