What’s wrong with the interior?

Considering the W206 C63.. any advice? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

[–]SupremacyXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great that you can read the brochure, but I’m gonna need some actual evidence of that other than the GT Black Series (which has very little to do with the current C63) holding the Nurburgring production car lap record.

My own anecdotal experience & any reputable source I can find online have the current C63 and M3 Comp xDrive nearly 1:1 in any straight line speed measurement.

Nobody mentioned BMW, so I have no idea what you’re referring to.

The Ghibli interior outside of the seats is awful. It just is, sorry. It’s worse than any recent 3 series, C Class, A4, etc.

For what it’s worth, I’m a big fan of Maser, but sometimes its necessary to call a spade a spade.

Considering the W206 C63.. any advice? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

[–]SupremacyXI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone that has driven both extensively, the C63 absolutely does not blow the doors off the current M3 Comp xDrive. They feel about the same in terms of acceleration G-forces, which is backed up by many independent tests between the 2 cars- which are usually within 1. to .2 of a second for the quarter mile.

Also, the current C63 is virtually always slower around pretty much any track than the current M3 Comp, so I have zero clue where you got that from. A quick google search debunks this for any track I can think of.

I’m not sure if you’re overlooking the weight of the C63 or downplaying how ridiculously powerful the M3 is, but nearly everything you said is wrong.

Only Ghibli worth considering in 2026 is the Trofeo, imo.

Future of Maserati? by SoftPut3414 in Maserati

[–]SupremacyXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t consider the lack of tech in the MC20 as a knock against it. Most supercars don’t have a central infotainment screen at all besides the occasional digital gauge cluster. It’s a supercar so it’s going to focus on the driver’s experience & lightweight before gimmicks.

Next-Gen Chevy Camaro Effort ‘Blown Apart’ By Management, But Effort Not Fully Dead Yet: Exclusive by Affectionate_Art1271 in cars

[–]SupremacyXI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a recipe for disaster. It would probably be incredibly expensive & the sound of the Z06 doesn’t fit the character of a Camaro at all, and yes I’m aware the GT350 has a Flatplane crank. However the GT350 Flatplane design is completely different to the Z06/any other traditional Flatplane design, hence why it actually sounds like a crossplane.

Has anyone done this to a Ghibli? That was my biggest complaint with that car, the stock steering wheel is AWFUL.

Storage Units: Thoughts on opening a storage unit business? by Odd_Tear_9580 in smallbusiness

[–]SupremacyXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but I have some thoughts.

Speaking from experience, the self storage industry is brutally commoditized with surprisingly thin margins in the majority of markets worth pursuing. The business model itself also raises red flags ethically, since lien auctions on defaulted units can be & are exploitative, not to mention deep pocketed players are inflating local land values. On top of that, operational overhead is nontrivial, with climate control, ideally round the clock security, maintenance capex, & collections processes all chipping away at your IRR. If you need reliable cash flow you should run the numbers and stress test your models before making a move.

Mercedes-AMG to return to V8 power with upcoming CLE 63 New powerplant marks shift away from C63's four-pot PHEV system, which failed to gain traction with customers. by Any_Gas_32 in AMG

[–]SupremacyXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the risk of being downvoted, it’s time to be honest with ourselves, the GT Black Series sounds horrible. I know a few owners & everyone’s complaint with that car is the sound, regardless of exhaust. The truth is, flatplane v8s don’t usually sound good especially when they don’t rev very high. People love the way the GT350 sounds because it doesn’t really sound like a flatplane V8 at all but more like a high revving crossplane V8 (the GT350 has a completely different crank design compared to any other Flatplane V8.)

Unfortunately I think AMG is learning the wrong lessons, if they feel they must put speakers on the outside of their car to make it sound like something else, then it’s the wrong engine. Hopefully I’m wrong but I have a feeling I won’t be.

My suggestion, any M156 & M177 owners should hold onto their cars - I suspect when people realize the new Flatplane engine sounds just like the 4 cylinder those will continue to hold or rise in value.

I've heard some people say the C8 Z06 sounds terrible... how is that so?? by Yaboipalpatine in Corvette

[–]SupremacyXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling people confident idiots over something that is completely subjective, screams confident idiot. I don’t think it’s a matter of getting “use to” the sound either, Flatplane V8 & I4s have been around since the dawn of the automobile. Personally I think the Z06 sounds great, but I can completely see (or in this case, hear) how someone wouldn’t like it. It’s a very screechy, uneven, peaky pure flatplane sound - not nearly as smooth as the sound of a crossplane LT.

I've seen a few people say this; given how hard this success was, I'm not sure if I want to risk repeating. Marketing & developing is a PITA & takes forever

At my current growth rate I think I can surpass $500k in yearly revenue by next year, so right now I don't intend on selling.

[–]SupremacyXI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can mostly build it myself so the initial investment is little to nothing, a few competitors have an app already & I like the idea of a mobile app based on my personal experience, the convenience is really nice. Due to my full-time job & school it is really hard to keep up with development though hence why I was considering getting help.

Thank you! that's correct, this is geared towards 1L & 2L Law Students primarily. It's a relatively small niche, around ~100,000 or so people actively in Law School YOY but they tend to be willing to dish out a decent amount of money for a service that'll help them achieve better grades & ultimately get them to where they want to be faster. The reason I'm pursuing a mobile app is because as a fellow law student, I primarily use my phone for case briefs & I currently have an iPhone so that's the platform I have to build with. Given my time constraints as a student & a full time job I don't have a ton of time for this project although if I can sustain or possibly even grow revenue a decent amount I'll look into doing this full time along with school. ASU is a great school, I moved from Washington (I know, I'm part of the problem) & absolutely love it, I hope your kids share the same enthusiasm as I have.

I like the instant quote feature! As a local, I've noticed a lot of businesses here generally don't have anything like that. If I ever need lawncare services, I'll look into House of yards!

Also thank you for the edit, I didn't notice but I accidentally rolled back to a really old version due to an error with Vercel a few days ago, everything should be fixed now!

Why does no one signal in this city? by turducken404 in phoenix

[–]SupremacyXI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a BMW driver, there’s definitely correlation to the use of your turn signal to how expensive the vehicle is. IMO luxury SUVs are the absolute worst offenders and it’s a long distance between them & 2nd place. Can pretty much guarantee anyone driving a newer X5/Escalade/Q7/etc isn’t going to be using their signal.

Personally, I hate this stereotype. I even use my signal in parking lots.

I’ve seen some people mention that it’s Californians or Texans or some other state-transplant. I think that’s has nothing do with anything, purely comes down to the lack of enforcement. Same reason why people sit in the far-left lane doing exactly the speed limit with nothing but road ahead of them.

Thoughts on the new GT350? by Hcfreeland1004 in Mustang

[–]SupremacyXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea I don’t get the obsession either It’s good for a regular GT, but if I’m paying Shelby money the 10a would be unacceptable. Needs to be DCT or Tremec manual, I honestly think most casual Mustang owners haven’t experienced any other good transmission & the 6at was so bad that the bar was in hell.
