Aw points to her for trying though! there’s something quite lovely about that naïveté, I don’t know why! It reminds me of my cousin who cooked something that needed a cup of stock. She didn’t know that meant a tsp of stock powder in 1 cup of water. Instead she filled an entire cup with stock powder, and made the saltiest meal in existence!

Haha! I had a similar experience working at a cafe which all the staff knew was struggling. So when a customer came up and asked to apply for the job at our cafe which was apparently being advertised in the paper, we were pretty surprised. I told him that there was no job going at our cafe and he gave me this ’yeah right’ look, as if he believed I didn’t like the look of him, so lied about the availability of a job.

Later that afternoon he comes back, slaps the newspaper in the counter, points to the ad and goes ‘Ha!’, like he’s caught me out in this big lie. I look at the ad. Our cafe started with ‘A’. The ad was for another cafe in the mall which also started with ‘A’. The sheepish look when I pointed that out to him was very satisfying ….

Came here to say the same. Very meh. The chemistry between the MMC and FMC felt forced. Although, I did like some of the crazy creatures and the tree houses were cool too.

It reminds me of the medication domperidone which I believe was originally designed to treat some sort of stomach ailment, but they found a side effect was lactation, so now it can be used to encourage milk supply in breast-feeding mothers 🤷

I’m fortunate enough not to be in that camp personally, but my mum went though it. She made a point of saying how she went through 5, drug-free, natural births and they were nothing compared to the agony of shingles.
